We just bought our DVC with Vero Beach being our home. We are now waiting for our docs to close. My question is that we are going to WDW Nov1 and departing Nov3. (We are going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Nov1. We already have tickets in hand) Before we even thought of becoming DVC members, we made reservations at WL for over $500 our two night stay. We want to cancel our reservations there, but is it going to be hard to get a studio room at one of the DVC resorts? I just was trying to pick some other DVC members heads out there. I know it's not a busy time for WDW, but I didn't know about it being a busy time for DVC. Thanks!

You have a really excellent chance of getting a studio for two nights at ONE of the DVC resorts, it might not be WLV's though... or, it might be, we recently made reservations at WLV's for Labor Day Weekend... that was about 8 weeks in advance...

If you purchased directly through Disney (I hope you did, they have a good deal going with Magical Beginnings), call MS tomorrow & check availability & book your two nights or get on the waitlist if you have to...

Yes, we did buy through Disney and sold back this years points. I will call disney as soon as are paperwork closes. We don't care which DVC resort we stay at so that should help some. Thanks!

OH, even better, call your guide TOMORROW, tell them your plans, since you just bought, they can hold the room for your for the two nights, as long as there is availability tomorrow or they can even add you to the waitlist... you can't borrow the points til you're closed, so DVC makes provisions for such an event, call your guide ASAP!!
