I think it's a good song geared to the audience this singer is singing to.
It'd be nice if people followed it, but one song isn't going to change the world or people's views IMO.

i think the artist is, like the general public, being swayed by the (also uniformed) media to think going green is trendy and cool.

im as hardcore environmentalist as it comes. im all for saving the world anyway you have to, but you 'going green' guys need to get your facts straight. instead of trying to stop a natural process that happens with or without us here, why dont you try thinking about things that we're doign that are actually negatively impacting the enviornment? read up on anwr drilling. is 300 days of oil really worth that much of a risk to you?

It doesn't seem like anyone educates themselves. Most people don't know that by recycling you are saving oil. If you recycle one 12 oz soda can, you are saving 6 oz of oil. HALF of that can!!! But people can't be bothered to pay the little extra to recycle or take the cans to a recycling center.

America doesn't like to conserve...all we want to do is consume. And no, 300 days of oil is not worth the risk to me. It's greed. What are we going to do when that oil is gone? Drilling in the ANWR is only going to delay what we really need to do, which is fund (more) for alternative energy.

Sorry...I'm really into this environmental stuff.

It bothers me how the artist seems to be saying that only America needs to worry/care about global warming, while really its the whole world. But its a cute song with a good message. And I formed this opinion before figuring out the artist :]

I think the writer should address this song to the world, not America. America is not the only country who's impacting the world's health.
I agree with Shelby, don't try to change something that's inevitably (sp?) going to happen. Change what you do to lessen the impact of what happens. (IE you can't change dying from lung cancer, but you can stop smoking to be healthier and live a longer life.)

And no, I don't like this artist. And this isn't the first time an artist tries to reach out with a cause. See Pink - Mr. President.
