That we will actually get the day and time we want for our DFTW? DF is really wanting to get married in Dec now insted of May...Do you think we have a snowballs chance in 'you-know-where' of getting the date/time we want. He is really wants a sat ceremony at 5pm (on the 15th specifically). That's only 7.5 months away. I'm gonna call first thing in the morning but do you think we even have a chance? How quickly do the slots usually become booked??

I booked mine a week and half ago for 2.30pm on 18th December at the WP and had no problem getting the time I wanted. Mind you that is on a Tuesday, maybe because you want the Saturday it will be a little harder to achieve. Are you dates and times flexible?

They are somewhat felxible, yes. DF wants the saturday to accomodate out-of-town guests and the 5pm slot for the sunset and timing of fireworks for our reception dinner at the california grill. Any other time that day would be okay too and we'd be open to anytime the following monday at either SBP or WP. Obviously though, we want our first choice. *fingers crossed*

Good Luck getting the date that you want. I think that if you are flexible a little, there should be no problem. I dont know how hard it will be to get that specific day, but since there are different time slots, that makes it a little easier if you are flexible on the time of day! Let us know how it goes!

well, we originally wanted Tues 11th Dec, 2:30 WP and when I spoke to my travel agent, they already had a request for the identical wedding, so I went direct to Disney - and they already had a custom that took priority! I got our 2nd choice so if you have alternative date/time/locations then you'll be fine. Good Luck tomorrow

just checked the 'when's your wedding' thread and noticed this post by a one-post only person - "I am getting Married on Dec. 15th 2007, at the WP and then reception at Living Seas and dessert party most likely at the UK lower level. I am so so so excited!"

WP gets priority on the weekends I know. I thought I saw that WP wasn't available for Escapes on the weekends at one point. But maybe they will allow it as long as no custom has requested it. Call DFTW and talk with someone. You can always have them pencil you in and then if plans change, you can move it. We did that !

Yeah, I think WP is only available mon-thurs for escape weddings. That's why we chose SBP for that date. We will want WP though is we have to choose a weekday.

How nice that you'll be there through the holidays, the two of you will have the most magical time!! Our plan is to be to be there from the 13th -20th, then spend a few nights in Savannah, Ga (A special place for us) and be home in time for Christmas Eve with the kiddos (I have 3!)...I'm getting so excited!!!

I am really looking forward to be there during the holidays. Where are you staying during your visit? I'm getting so excited for you lol. You guys will be on such a high what this just being home from being married at Disney and then spending Christmas with the kids, it will be perfect.

TEEHEE...it will be perfect!! We'll be staying at either pop century or all-star movies prior to the wedding and then GF for the honeymoon portion. We have discussed staying at Port Orleans Riverside in order to save a little cash but I don't think I'm willing to give up GF!! Where will you guys be staying?

That sounds great, I really wanted to stay at the GF but it was way out of our price range. Initially we have rented a villa with our friends and then we will be staying at AKL for 4 nights and then back into the villa with our friends.

Hey. I don't post on here much, usually just read. But I wanted to say, I am having my wedding on Dec. 15, but at noon at the WP. I know when we called exactly 8 months out everything but the noon was booked at the WP. Good Luck!!

Ugh! That is not reassuring but thanks for being honest anyway. I kind of figured that the times for a sat wedding would go fast. My only hope is that since we have chosen an outdoor location, the winter (not that Orlando has a very cold winter) will have kept others from booking the venue...I guess I'll find out in a few hours! *nerves* eek!
