This will be our 7 mo. old DD's 1st trip to Disney this weekend, and I would LOOOVE to get her hair cut. The only thing is that she has this one really long "mohawk" strand in front (with a big cowlick!), and it hangs straight down in her eyes at times. Do you think I am going overboard if we have her hair cut at MK, even though it is just one little strand that needs it?? BTW, her hair is very hard to control because of the cowlick! Maybe a little trim would help! :D

I say go for it!

We are getting ds's 1st hair cut when we are their in June. He will be 16 months, but he doesn't have a lot of hair. I don't care though, it will be his special thing in Disney.

Last year ds was 15 months old and I was going to get his FIRST HAIR CUT at MK. Apparently they make a big deal of it with Mickey Ears saying, "first hair cut" and a certificate! I think someone mentioned it was about $10. We didn't end up doing to, ran out of time!

We are going next week and it's on the list again. I have given ds a couple of MOMMY TRIMS but no barber shop cuts yet!

It's a cute memory in the making! Have a blast! Sandra

we did this 3 weeks ago on my son's first birthday. I was very cool- the barber kept all of the hair wrapped up for me, gave him mouse ears, sprinkled him with pixie dust, blew bubbles, gave him a personalized certificate, put stickers all over him and made sure he had fun. Just a warning - there is no strap to hold them in the booster seat so make sure someone can hold the baby and someone can take the pictures. we paid $12 and gave a $3 tip.

we did this with our 13 monh old in dec. it was really his second haircut, but his first barbershop cut. it was so worth it. bring your video camera and get there early.

going again in a week......and going there again with our now 18 month old.

Does the barber shop open when the park does or does anybody know the hours?

Thanks

Best thing we ever did! I told DH when our kids "hopefully" have kids we will take the grandkids to WDW for their first hair cut! Granted that is about 20 years or more away..but it was so nice and fun! The price is right in line with hair cuts around here. I think it was $8 and then a tip, 2 years ago!

the barbershop in last dec was open daily from 9 til 5. it is probably best to get there right when it opens.
