Love the b/w! Looks all eerie and spooky, reminds me a smidge of the Haunted Mansion. The color one is cool, but it doesn't have the same impact, in my opinion.

thanks, I think maybe the frame is too thick. It takes away from the dark areas of the photo. Maybe it should have been a white frame, grey??

I love the BnW version much more than the color version ... I think a white frame would not do it justice at all and gray might start to blend with certain areas of the picture. Either a narrower black frame or have you tried it frameless? Im not a huge fan of the added digital frames on most pictures.

I like the frame. B/W alway look better on black IMO. I would try to up the contrast in the sky a bit to bring some more ominousness (is that a word?) to the sky.

Great shot!

Thanks for the comments. I wish I had more time to shoot the old buildings around chicago.

What method did you use? There appears to be some posterization in the sky around the edges of the clouds. It's spotty where you cloned out the pole on the roof on the upper-right side of the image. I'd also clone out the cables coming in from the left-center edge of the image.

Funny you should ask... since I am asking for comments and I did not mention the process. But I did the work about six months ago and just ran across it again recently. I was trying a few different methods, but this version may have just been the one click desaturate. Hehehehee

I will see if I have the original PSD and check the history.

but dang, maybe I need glasses. I can not see that stuff about the antenna.
