We recently booked for Thanksgiving week and have made the following ADRs...what do you think? What should we try to change?

Sunday: (we arrive in the afternoon) Tony's Town Square for dinner
Monday: Hollywood & Vine for lunch
Tuesday: Crystal Palace for dinner
Wednesday: Chef Mickey for dinner
Thursday: Akershus for dinner
Friday: Kona for dinner (rather than our original Park Fare ADR)

Is Hollywood & Vine worth doing? Our 3 y.o. loves JoJo and Little Einsteins but if we can see them elsewhere without a meal, that would be fine too!

Since you have boys, I'd pull back on the Princess meals. Try for Coral Reef instead of the Norway Princess meal. The aquarium atmosphere and divers will probably be very entertaining for them. Also if you take them through Nemo and Crush, it'll be a bit educational as well. You might also consider the Garden Grill. Its a rotating restaurant and non Princess characters (Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale).

We attended the 1900 Park Fare meal a few years back. We had a 5yo princess with us, but since Prince Charming is there I think the meal is more balanced. There were plenty of boys having a great time when we were there.

If the princess meal is for you. ;) Cinderella, Fairygodmother and the Grand Floridian atmosphere should be just enough magic for you too.

I think 'OHana dinner is great! I enjoyed the food very much and the atmosphere will be great for children of your ages. The have coconut races and hula hoop contests etc.
We sat right at the window looking toward the Castle.
All in all, it was a great time.

I laughed out loud at your message, septbaby. It may not be the norm, but yes, my sons LOVE the princesses. (In fact, my 6 y.o. will be devastated we won't be eating in the castle) So, we want to do at least one princess meal. They are a bit scared of the other characters because they are not a "real person" (my son's words). I think once we're at Disney that will change. We did look into going to the Coral Reef but the reviews I've read haven't been that great. Any other suggestions out there? Anyone else out there have boys that like the princesses? Will my boys be the only ones at the princess meals? I wouldn't think so, but maybe I'm wrong.

Dh and I agreed that H&V was our WORST meal on our last trip. I think it may be the worst buffet on Disney property. Other buffets have something that stands out...i.e., strawberry soup & prime rib @ 1900 PF, carving station at Chef Mickey's, delicious soups @ Boma, etc. H&V was TERRIBLE

I would think about switching it. LTT in MK is a very good emal- dinner is served family style. If you are looking to stay in MGM, Sci-Fi & Prime Time Cafe are both better than H&V.

Ohana is my family's very favorite restaurant. WCC is a BIG hit with both of my kids.

Let us know what you decide!

BTW, I remember seeing JoJo & Goliath & the Little Einsteins on the street in MGM. If you're booking just for that, I would ask a cast memeber for meeting times in MGM and spend my $ on a much better meal!

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to cancel H&V. Maybe we'll do the Primetime Cafe...haven't been there in about 20 years. I remember it was fun...I remember my brother got yelled at for leaving the table to use the restroom without asking first. When you're a kid and your sibling gets in trouble, even if it's a joke, that's the best! :-)

:thumbsup2 Plus, PTC has AWESOME desserts...your kids will love that!

I also had a ressies for H&V, but later cancelled it, after hearing so-so reviews of it (we booked it for the fantasmic! package, but ended up getting way better seats anyways without it) We also cancelled our Tony's, (mainly to cash those two in for Cali. Grill-- we were on the DDP) but I will probably try Tony's next visit. Crystal Palace and Akershus were 2 of my favorites when I was there. Great character interaction, and your sons will def have their princess fill for that meal!
