What do you think of the Maclaren Triumph?

My neighbor has an almost two-year-old DD and asked me for stroller advice. I told her I have a Bumbleride and love it but she said she doesn't want one that "bulky". I'm trying to make a list of suggestions from Toys r Us since apparently something's wrong with her internet server. This one's a good brand and the right price, what do you think of this one or this brand? Leaving for Disney in 5 days so she needs some help! Thanks!

We have the Triumph. We used it on our last trip to Disney and it worked out great. It folds up real quickly and is light weight. It was very easy to take on and off the buses.

It feels odd posting for someone else, but another quick question, it says on the site that the reccomended age limit is 3 years, but the weight limit is 55 lbs. Is it on small side or is that just nonsense? My neighbor's daughter is tall like my kids and I imagine she wants this to last!

Uh, I have a Triumph and my 3.5 year old rides it and he's NOT EVEN CLOSE to being too big for it. I honestly think he'll still fit in it when he's six...

Don't pay attention to TRU's "recommended age". It's nonsense. Pay attention to the MANUFACTURER'S upper weight limit. The Maclarens have high backs, so they work very well for taller children.

This is a great stroller by the way...best money I've spent on one (actually, I have a Maclaren Quest as well as a Triumph...they are both great!).

We have a twin triumph and one reason we chose it was because its weight limit would accomodate our 5yo. Yeah, sure 5yo's shouldn't be riding in strollers but I get tired of always telling her that her little sisters can do the cool stuff but she's too big. Anyway, yeah, she's kind of big for it, but she rides in it any chance she gets.

We bought our Mac Triump when DS was about 18 months. We were living in CA and I was traveling back home to Indiana to visit family A LOT and got tired of lugging around a big stroller. It was the best $140 I've spent. DS is now 4 and still can comfortably ride in it. He just had his 4 yo check up and weighed only 39 lbs. He is tall so we have to remind him to keep his feet up on the foot rest. But he loves his stroller. We take it with us everywhere because it's easy to maneuver, light-weight, it has a basket underneath and all around a great stroller. If this one ever breaks, I'll buy another Mac.

So in my opinion it is hands down the best stroller.

I have the same stroller in blue for my son, bought just before his first Disney trip at age not-quite-3. He is now 4 1/2 and we still use it, he is starting to look like a big kid in it, he's about 37-38 lbs & about 43" tall, so likely she will be able to use it for a while yet. :)

We saw the triumph at BJs for $125...

We have the Triumph and absolutely LOVE it. It's so light, pushes great, DS sleeps wonderfully in it...I really want to take it on our upcoming trip but I will be so pissed if it gets damaged on the flight!

Anyone have any expereince gate checking this stroller? Is it best to put it in a travel bag?

We own a Triumph and we used it last fall in Disney with our 2 1/2 year old DD - it worked really well! DD is our 4th child and this is one of my top 3 strollers and we have owned many! This is an ideal stroller for a toddler in WDW in my opinion.

That said, the only drawback to this stroller is a tendancy to tip if things are on the handles and the child is removed...annoying! I bought the saddle bag that attaches to the side of the stroller and this worked really well for us in the parks.

How nice of you to help your friend!

Love it! Wish I had known about this stroller when DD was little, I'd have bought one before. I got this when we were taking DD on her first Disney trip when she was 22 months old. Now she's almost 4 and still rides in it. She's 41" tall and weighs about 37 pounds. She's tall enough to have to remember to put her feet up but she's not crammed in the stroller.

I loved it so much that when I found a Volo on TRU for $25 I snapped that up as fast as I could. I love that one for when it's hot outside.

I will NEVER own another stroller (other than my jogging stroller) that isn't a Mac.
