What do you think my odds willbe?

I have been lurking for awhile and finally decided to join. Here is my first of many questions I am sure. Thanks in advance for everyones help.

I am thinking aobut taking my 13 year old DD to DW. I was looking at 8/11 thru 8/19 for our trip. The only issue is I won't be able to book and pay for the trip until the middle of July. What do you think my chances will be of finding availability?

We went the first week in August last year with 2 weeks notice. We booked the POR with tickets for four days through Southwest Vacations website, got a great deal and not one problem.

going to be pushing it since that is during free dinning...(I think).

If you can swing it you can go ahead and book it now, and you only have to put $200 down, then you can make payments until it is paid off. It has to be paid for 45 days in advance assuming you will be booking a package (which with free dinning I would think you would.

Free dining doesn't start until the 26th of August, so that shouldn't create as much urgency.

Are you booking room only or a package? Room only ressies just require one night deposit and you pay the rest when you get there. They also have the most flexible cancellation policies (up to 5 days prior to arrival as opposed to 45 days on packages). If you are booking a room only, and can afford the deposit, go ahead and book now.

I was going to a package to include park passes & the dining plan. If Uncle Sam hadn't decided he needed more money this year this wouldn't be a issue.

I'm in the same boat. I'm going mid-June and can't pay it until the beginnig of June. What I did was book the room only reservation now for $122.xx and will add the package when I have the money at the beginning of June. I've done it before in April and it was no problem to add teh package up to 5 days prior to our arrival date.

It really is the best thing to do if you can't really pay off the entire package price 45 days in advance.
