I swear I have been so hung up on trying to figure out which resort to stay in that I never thought of this! LOL! Why don't I stay at both? Start off at POP when we're pumped and full of energy and move over to POR for the last part of the trip!

I haven't ever switched resort though! Do the move your luggage? How does that work? If we check out from POP one morning and go to a park can we then go to POR? Do we have to go thru the whole check in process again?

It has been a while since I switched resorts, however... As far as your bags are concerned, all you have to do is call the bell desk and have them come and get them from your room, and then ask them to transfer them to which ever resort you are going to. As far as I recall you do have to go and check in to your new resort, and then contact the bell desk and ask that they bring your bags to your room. It ends up being pretty simple. Have a great trip.

WE just split our stay between CR and YC. Stayed 4 nights at each. We couldn't decide which of these two resorts to stay at (we got good rates at both and had two reservations) so we split our stay. Like you are planning, we stayed at a busier resort the first half of our trip and a more relaxing resort the second half. While we had no problems making the change, I do not think we will ever do it again. It was a pain to pack up in the middle of a trip when you could be using that time to relax by the pool or visit the parks. Jay

Last year we switched from ASSp to ASMo with only 1 minor mishap (which I blame on us.. because we didn't know).. We left our luggage to be transferred and thinking they will just deliver it to our next room.. so we arrive at our next room at about 8pm after a day in the parks .. no luggage. We wait. No luggage. We wait some more.. finally at 10pm we call and ask where our luggage was.. It was waiting for us to call and say we were ready for it.
So- we haven't really had any bad experiences with resort hopping.
This vacation we are considering venturing into the world of Moderates.. we have only ever stayed Deluxe or Value. We are staying off site our first two days, then moving to ASMo for 4 days and thinking about moving to POFQ for our last 8 days... we have already booked ASMo for the whole trip (2 sep. reservations as we got a great rate for MNSSHP goers through our TA and then on AAA rate for the rest- waiting for AP rates to come out). We are hummin' and hawin' though... got to see what those rates are going to be like for two rooms.
