Thanks!!!

Ok...so first time mom here....bringing my 5 month old for the first time in 9 days....so really no advice from me!! ;) But, from what I have seen in the mall and when down in Disney - the side-by-side strollers (like the first pic you posted) appear to be harder to navigate in stores and in crowded areas due to the wide width. But...I see what you are saying about your DD legs - and you want her to be comfortable! Good luck deciding! :goodvibes

thoes are exactly my thoughts... I'm not really sure how 'wide' it is, but last year, any time we were in stores, ect the kids were all out of the stroller anyways and we parked it off out of the way...

Does the wheel on the jogging stroller pivot? If not, it will be a pain in the neck to push it through WDW. The other one seems way too small for a 3 and 5 yr old.

Why not just rent a stroller at the parks? A 5 yr old can walk some of the time, so a single stroller should suffice! When the 5 yr old gets tired, they should both be able to fit. Or you could rent a double.

I had that stroller for about 6 months and sold it b/c the front wheel does not pivot. It's a real pain to lift and turn especailly on tight corners. I couldn't imagine bringing that stroller to WDW and being able to maneuver it through the crowds. I've seen it there several times and felt bad for the parents trying to get it around all the crowds and trying to lift and turn. UGH! Sorry to be such a downer on the stroller, I just though you'd want an honest opinion -- I wish I had done more research on it before I bought it! ;)
I second the advice to rent -- their strollers are very easy to steer and your kids would have plenty of room!

we don't use disney transportation... don't want to from what i've read since we are staying at POR. So making it out to the car at 10:00 with three very very tried kids or durring the P&PP at 1:00 AM me and dh would just asume walk to our car with the kids in the stroller vs having the drag them out of it hold them while in line for the tram...maybe wait for 2 or 3 trams... then load up on it, then carry them for the walk from the tram to the car... then when we get done as WDW we are going to be going to Cape Coral to stay with Dh's broth for 5 nights going who knows where but i'd feel a lot better about taking our stroller with us and having it on hand when needed... back to sqare one i guess. i wonder how they go along with it at DW they took it last march in the middle of spring break...

Have you ever used the buses from the resort to the hotel? Just wondering because it is much easier than parking and if you do park, the spaces are so far from the entrance.

Anyway, I think you will find that this is too bulky when folding. Even if you do not take the Disney transportation, you may need to take the tram from the parking lot to the entrance and this will be a very tight squeeze. Just my opinion. Oops - I see you posted you won't use the tram either.

Also - I agree with the wheel not pivoting - it will drive you crazy. I have one of these and would never take it to WDW. The strollers there are great. We used them for two 6 year olds on our last trip. I always take a compact one for my dd2.

FYI, there is no tram involved when using Disney transportation. The bus brings you right to the entrance, even at the MK. You exit the park and wait for the bus. Yes you would have to fold up the stroller but then you would be sitting on the bus with the kids. You then get off at your stop at your resort and would just have to walk to your room. It's really simple and not a hassle at all. I have been doing it for years with 2 kids.

As for the stroller, personally I would just bring one for the 3 year old. If the 5 year old gets tired then I would rent one for her. On our last trip in Nov DS(4) hardly wanted to be in his stroller. He was really great walking everywhere. We really used the stroller to hold our stuff and for late nights when he got tired which only happened once. I try not to stay out too late with them. I can sympathize with you when looking for a great WDW stroller! I went through at least 10 strollers!LOL Finally I found the perfect one and that's my Mac Triumph!

I have this stroller at home and would NOT want to take it to the parks. I have been with all 3 of my kidos and different ages and this stroller is just too big. If you are riding Disney Transportation it will not be fun getting this thing on the bus. I think you would be better off taking two nice Chicco's or something of that sort.

thanks for all the tips the #1 reason we decided not to use the disney busses... is from this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1663253 seems like POR is having some bussing issues that i'd much rather NOT deal with at all!!!

I guess i'll keep on looking for a stroller option. we dont' own a single i always had my youngest in a sling, carrier till she was about 2 1/2 then she pretty much walks everywhere... my middle dd on the other hand is not a walker, gets additude and tired easily, so i think a desigated spot for her to sit is a MUST!
I really hate having to find a stroller for disney... drives me NUTS!!! LOL

I have younger kids but got the sit and stand plus which I love...it really is handy to be able to have the older kid sit in the back (and nap if he needs to)...if your child does not need to sleep in a stroller then I'd even suggest just getting the sit and stand (without the plus feature) as that seems a little bit smaller. The side by sides that I saw in the parks had a harder time in the shops and in the boats and monorail although they did fit it seemed like a hard job.

Well I guess we're sort of in the minority in this thread, but we take a side by side double jogger to WDW for our twins and it works very well for us. We LOVE it! The girls are extremely comfortable and that is our goal because we want them to be able to rest in it. Our twins are older now, 4-1/2, so that is the reason we need a jogger (to carry the weight). I will say, though, that we stay at monorail resorts or else Epcot resorts so we don't have to deal with buses or cars very often. We rarely have to fold our jogger unless we go to AK. There are double joggers out there that are a one-step fold, so it would be easier to load a bus. We are currently looking at updating to a baby jogger city series IF I can find a good deal.

TJA... did your front wheel swivel??? or was it stationary? I think that a jogger would work if it's wheel moved but it seems the issues others are seeing is with this one that doesn't ... i'm still kinda up in the air. DH is so so so aginst buying a stroller (see i've kinda went through a LOT) so maybe we should comprimise and buy a single stroller to use when needed, then rent a double when needed...

My front wheel does not swivel. I do see everyone's point about it being easier to have it swivel, but honestly we don't have any problems with it. Maybe because we know we "need" the jogger so we just go with the flow. Your case is a bit harder having a 3 and 5 year old, whereas we have 2 girls the same age and what one does, the other does too, so it's a pretty easy decision for us that we need a double jogger. We currently have a Dreamer Design and it has worked very well. However, it is getting somewhat beat up and we are contemplating getting a Baby Jogger City Series but only IF a good deal comes along. I search daily!! Good luck with your decision!

ok, if it were me with kids that age(3 and 5) I would just rent a stroller from disney on a as needed basis BUT my two youngest arent that age, they are 1 and 3 and on our trip this past October and we took our sit and stand stroller. Its the baby trend model with the parent tray. Ours is lime green and silver/gray. Our 3yr old loves to walk so he walked alot and only sat when we really had to move or his legs were getting tuckered and my 1 1/2 year old sometimes sat in the back on the sitting platform. Its not too heavy for my DH to fold and unfold but we didnt really use WDW transport as we stayed off site and just drove in and parked. Which, by the way, was soo easy! We always arrived 20-30 minutes before rope drop and by the time we parked and got all four kids and grandparents unloaded we were at the gates within 10-15 minutes of opening and got to park real close! We stayed most days from opening until 3-4pm and then called it a day so the walk back to the truck wasnt bad because we were close and the kids sat in the stroller.

Thats my 2 cents!

We saw several of the double wides being pushed and they really took up lots of space on the walk ways and such. If you got behind a parent pushing one of those in a crowded place you were stuck at their mercy and their pace. It got really annoying because you would have to say excuse me a million times and just hope to get around them because if they stopped you were stuck with no where to move around. One lady brought hers into Pinnochio haus dining room and that was real interesting! Just something to think about with those big double wide joggers.
