What do you think about this plan

We are going to Disney Oct 12- 20. We wanted to surprise our kids with a cruise on the Dream at the end of the trip. Unfortunately, DCL wants 3500 for a 3 night cruise so that plan is out. I just got to thinking that we could surprise them at the end by going to vero for 3 nights. We could use our points and it would not cost us anything. So what do you think. What is Vero like at the end of October? We have never done vero yet. We did Hilton Head last summer and it was awesome.

think for beach stuff - VB is better.

the only problem I had was the ocean. realize that VB is right on the ocean and sometimes the ocean waves are high.

like the nice tame gulf water better. they are only high or make waves when a storm is coming in and then you leave (well I do)

also Oct is still hurricane season so if you do this might get the insurance.

We LOVE VB! It is very relaxing. We always have an amazing time there. The resort and beach are beautiful! Our last trip we only did 3 or 4 days and it felt like a week!

Going to VB at the end of a WDW trip is just perfect. We have done it the past two times. It is so relaxing and peaceful. We love the ocean and even if the waves get big then the kids can boggie board. The hut has boards they let the kids use. We love the long walks on the beach, shell seeking and the campfire.

We grilled steaks and had a nice dinner then went to the campfire. It was so relaxed and just what we needed to decompress before going home.

I think it is a great plan.

I think the idea is great because you can relax before you have to head back to work and the normal world.
