The HK boxes are cute........think I might need those. Not sure why they made TWO. :sad2: The Gomes dish is wonderful but expensive.

Nothing else does anything for me, but I don't collect Pirates. :confused3

Originally I was planning on going to the event but the timing will not work out for me. :(

I LOVE the coin pins, the Jack Sparrow pin(I love how the MK sillote is in the background),and I'm oddly attracted to the bag...

What's the deal with the shipping charges at the bottom of the items list?Don't we get the items the day that the RSP is done?I've never been to an event before...

You do get the merchandise that day. Some people buy a lot of stuff and choose to have it shipped home.

Picture trying to get that Pirate Big Fig on the plane. :rotfl2: :lmao:

I was so happy to see an event was being held during that time (my birthday weekend) but WOW, I can't afford that.
I guess I might have to look for everyone at the parks to say hello.
I won't be able to make the Sept event anymore because it is on my grandson's birthday and I will never miss his parties. Unless I can talk my son into spending his birthday in FL I will miss you aoll again this year.

I like a few of the items... Won't make it down but looks like a fun event.

I like the Jack Sparrow/Davy Jones Super Jumbo pin and the Skeleton Pirate Big Fig.

DH and I are both going to the event - I hope it's a good one! I've really missed the Happy Haunts event, so I'm really looking forward to this.

I wasn't super excited about the merchandise. We are Litho collectors and I was hoping for a really nice Pirate Litho to go with one we got back in 2000. They do have the blue line drawings, but those don't really do it for me.

We booked the "X Marks the Fun" event for my birthday. My DH and I have never been to one of these before. I was reading about how to fill out the RSP forms but I couldn't find anything on when they were due, etc.

Has anyone been to the Happy Haunts event before. I'm just curious as to how things work. Any tips or suggestions?

The RSP's aren't available yet. You'll get an email when they are ready to be filled out and that email will tell you when they are due.

I haven't been to a Happy Haunts but I have been to many events as have many people here.

My one tip is to have fun!! :rotfl2:

Anything specific you would like to know post here. We'll all try to answer.

As Kathie says, just have fun. We learned from our very first event at DL that if you approach these things with a positive have fun attitude you will have a great event.

There are all kinds of things that can, and likely will happen, that can distract from the goal of having fun. You will be surrounded by pirate fanatics, so you might as well join them. I am working on my limited pirate accessories already.

So.......how many times do you think we'll be dressing in our pirate attire??

I have one set I wore to the NYC Pirate Event last year and again on the DVC Members Cruise Pirates night. I'm working on getting another outfit together. Just need to get boots/shoes. It's all about the shoes. :rolleyes1

You know us girls...........can't wear the same thing twice!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I was actually wondering about this, but wasn't sure where to post it...Do we dress up for any of these activities that we'll be attending?

I think once they post a more concrete itinerary, we'll be better able to judge.

I know at the Pirate Event at NYC, we (Lisa & I) dressed in Pirate attire. We were the only ones who did. Other attendees had Pirate t-shirts, hats and accessories, but no one was in costume except us and the cast members. :confused3

I think this event will be different. I think many people will dress in costume.

I'm planning on dressing in costume at least for the movie and probably for the breakfast and maybe the Pirate's feast?? :rolleyes1 ........sounds like I'm dressing both days. :rotfl2: pirate:

Edited to add that this is my 2100 post. I lost over 2000 posts in the big DIS crash...way back when.

Aye, we'll be bringin the Pirate Costumes. I have two costumes now and Suzi has one, but is working on getting another one made prior to the event. I have added to my Pirate Costumes since the Pin Cruise and look forward to getting plenty more use out of them this year with this Pirate Event and the Pirate's Pin Cruise!pirate:

Thanks
I have a Pirate wench costume (bought it for the Pirate & Princess party in March)
and I have a few POTC related t-shirts..I have jewelry and a couple of pins, also...So I guess I'll be fine...We'll have a better idea once the itinerary comes out.

The RSP is a random selection process. My advice to you is when you are filling out your form, out the item you want most first. At the 2003 HHB, I put a framed pin set as my #1 choice, and was lucky enough to get it. It is one of 50 and has a blue print type back drop.

Probably not, although I am sure they will make some kind of announcement.

I can't wait until they post some more information. DH and I are completely jazzed for this event. It will definitely be the highlight of the trip

Me, too...I am anxiously awaiting more info:rotfl2:
Lilke the rest of the pics of the merchandise.
