what do you think about Caylee/Casey Anthony?

I heard somewhere that on Greta that recent DNA testing was done and that LE knows who Caylee's father is. I do agree with a lot of there is a possibiliy of Lee being the father because of him refusing to submitt DNA. Also Casey told friends different stories about Caylee's father she told a few friends that Caylee's dad was in the military and she told others that he was a security guard at Universal. I don't think the public will ever find out about Caylee's dad unless it is revealed at court if it is revelant to the murder case.

What is really sad is this case is one of so many. Kids are abused on a daily basis. It makes me sick to think what people do to their children. I work in a pediatric unit at a hospital. We had a sweet little 7 year old girl come in with urinary infection. She lives with her third foster parents. The second ones had sexually abused her. She is just a little angel. All of us including a couple Dr.'s wanted to adopt her. She was taken from her real parents when she was a baby. The dad is in jail. The mother a drug user. The foster parents she is with at this time are not that good. She stayed at the hospital for three weeks. It was the hardest thing to see her go home with this family. I cried many of times when I would go visit her. Kids have so little protection. They are at the mercy of the adults that raise them. I never believed in abortion. I have since changed my mind. There are people that have know business having children. Given the choice I'm sure a child would want to stay in heaven than live in hell. This is one child. There are so many more stories I could tell. Very sad world we live in.

Agreed, I have been a pediatric nurse for about 15 of my 24 years in nursing, and it is so sickening to see parents get away with abuse. It often takes years and years of abuse for children to ever get taken away from their parents...and then they can be abused in the foster care system. Having worked with kids with conduct disorder (the pediatric "precursor" to anti-social personality disorder) I can tell you that EVERY kid I worked with in the mental health system who had a diagnosis of conduct disorder was an ABUSED kid.

I believe every child should be a wanted child, too.

me too. It's so sad because I have friends who cannot have children of their own and have been on the waiting list to adopt. I know in a minute they would have taken any of these children into their home.

I am no shrink but if Lee is the father of Caylee, would that have possibly made Casey disconnect with her somehow......? especially since her folks wouldn't let her give her up for adoption?

They could have matched the dna from a criminal database.

The mother killed the kid, no doubt in my mind.
Her parents (Caylee's GPs) may have at some point realized it and then protected the daughter. I don't think they helped her kill that poor baby though.

I have to admit, I watch NG almost every night to hear about this case - I've been following it from the beginning, and now I'm hooked. I'm in NJ, and theres no local news coverage about it at all here.
Having said that, she is way over the top, and needs to take it down a notch or two. Her comment every single night - "Poor Caylees remains are sitting alone in a cardboard box".... OMG, could she be playing up the drama any more?!? I can see covering a story about a MISSING child every single show, but now that we have proof that she is gone - really, whats the point other than to get ratings?

well she IS sitting in a box, poor baby needs to be buried already.

last I heard, Lee is still accepting money donations to his private paypal account -- he said the money will go to Caylee's funeral fund.

But I thought it was odd that it went directly to his paypal acct. Usually a fund is set up thru a bank and you send the $$ directly to the bank.

has anyone heard what the deal is with the funeral? i thought a week or so ago the grandparents were saying that they were going to do cremation (because they feared grave robbers ) but now the reports are saying that cindy had asked george the day before he disappeard to pick out jewlery FOR CAYLEE for her funeral.

um, maybe i don't understand funeral customs but i've never heard of anyone picking out jewlery to be cremated along with a decedent-and if they are'nt doing creamation, is'nt the reality that the remains are just that-remains (not in tact, were portions of skeletal bones along with the skull and the hair that remained in place due to the duct tape) so what would be the purpose of picking out jewlery (unless it's just going to be placed inside the coffin-and i've more often seen that with adults-like a wedding ring-babies and kids it's more usualy their baby blanket or favorite 'lovie' ).

i would'nt be at all surprised if this was a trigger for a suicide attempt. george has to be battling with what he logicly knows as former law enforcemnt vs. what he wants to believe as it pertains to his daughter. i can imagine that having just heard in the recent days that the duct tape had been decorated with a heart sticker and telling yourself your own daughter could no way be that sick, that warped-then to have your wife tell you to go pick out jewlery-you might construe that as a further attempt to decorate the child and then it all hits you, what you have'nt wanted to accept.

they've reported that the suicide note and/or the texts he sent to people indicated he thought the family would be better off without him-makes you wonder if he believes that the testimony he's already given/will give at a future date clinches it for the prosecution. maybe he figured if he killed himself casey stood a better chance for aquittal.

Gosh that was so long ago. It was interesting for a while, but I grew bored of the limitation, and discontinued the rule. Now, I prefer applying it to some others -- I ignore comments from certain poster posted after Page 4.

I suppose, by next month, Nancy Grace will have Casey Anthony held responsible for the economic recession, and this week's ferry accident in Viet Nam.

it would be interesting to see who claimed caylee on their tax returns. george and cindy claim that they belived casey was working all along at universal and paying for 'nanny zannie' but there have also been reports that cindy had complained to people that casey was always badgering them for money (and stole it when it was'nt given). someone had to be paying for kaylee-if for nothing else but the regular medical costs associated with raising a child (if she had been on medicaid or public assistance the paternity question would be a non issue-the testing of all the potential candidates would have occured). if george and cindy were claiming caylee on their tax returns it would'nt make any sense not to have told casey to get receipts for any paid childcare. if they were claiming caylee AND casey then how can they explain away no w-2's from universal for the past few years (unless they want to admit to knowingly not reporting a dependant's believed income to the irs ).

i took a look recently at the family's web site and i think it's pretty questionable how contributions are handled. the only trust that's been set up is for 'searching' for caylee and it's set up so the funds can be used to cover the cost of the t-shirts and bracelets the site IS STILL SELLING-yet the money from the t-shirts and the bracelet sales don't go into the trust-they go straight to the anthony family (it instructs you in ordering to make checks payable to THEM). so does'nt that mean that the contributions are being used to cover the costs of a private buisness enterprise on george and cindy's part? the site also sez that once caylee was 'brought home' all the remaining donations would go to missing children charities-well, caylee was identified as deceased over a month ago and they're still taking contributions, still hawking t-shirts and bracelets with no mention of any move to get those funds out helping in active searches for missing kids
