What do you think about a BREAKFAST with Barbie Birthday Party?

My soon to be 6 year old daughter & I have been discussing having a Breakfast with Barbie Party for her 6th Birthday this summer. The guests would come for a kids-style (donuts!) breakfast and they would all bring their favorite Barbies. We would do some party games and have a moonbounce.

What do you all think of this idea? Here's the kicker - what TIME should this party begin. It IS breakfast after all, but I don't want people to have to get up at 7am on the weekend :D No one is coming from far away, so that's a plus.

Any thought, comments, or suggestions?

That's such a cute idea! My smallest dd is 9 today .so we are getting ready for a party.
I think around 8:30-9:00 would be good. My kids get up around 8:00 so you figure by the time the get dressed and ready it would be around then.
I wish your dd a very happy birthday!!

I could use a trip to Maryland. I'll even go out and buy a Barbie. Sounds good to me:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Instead of Breakfast, why you don't call it a Brunch with Barbie party? I know, I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old, and if I got an invitation to a birthday party for 8:30 or 9:00, I'd FREAK first and then probably keep my DD home. There's NO WAY I could get up (both kids usually sleep until 8:00) and get everyone dressed before I'd have to leave. I think the brunch would give you and everyone else a little time in the morning to prepare and arrive. Maybe a 10:00 or 10:30 start? I've also been deciding what to do for my DD's birthday party. We finally decided on a Build-A-Bear party, followed by dinner at Rainforest Cafe. I had over 25 kids at her birthday party last year and my house was a WRECK and the party was a cateered barbeque!!!! Somehow the kids got their face paints all over my couch!!! Luckily I had already ordered a new one, so I didn't get too upset. So, this year we're going out!!

I agree brunch might be a better option. At first I thought you were going to have a person dressed up like Barbie! Sounds like a winner - they all love Barbie at that age.
