What do you sit on at WDW parades?

I'm short (only 5'2) and I always find a good spot well in advance so I'm up front and I always sit. The reason has nothing to do with a disability (I'm still puzzling over that??:confused3). I do it out of COURTESY to all the other people behind me that may want to see the parade. I know how hard it is to see over an average sized person as an adult so in a place where there are tons of kids who want to see I sit so that everyone can see!

Sometimes I throw a beach towel in the stroller basket for sitting on. It comes in handy for a blanket if the evening is chilly, or it useful if my son gets wet in a Disney fountain. A lot of times I sit on it until the parade starts, then I stand (but not if I'm in the front row).

I like the changing pad idea! :thumbsup2 I usually sit on the ground with my two DS beside me and we have a snack before the parades. DH usually stands behind us and videos the parade. With us sitting, it give him a clearer view to video.

I like both of these ideas :thumbsup2. If I decide to get disposable the tablecloth woud be cheaper, but if I can't find any at our Dollar Tree the changing pads are a good alternative. I knew someone on here would have a good idea for me :cool1:

We went in June the year before last and when we went to the parade we couldn't sit on the cement, it burned even through our shorts. They were having a heat wave that year and temps were over 100 each day so maybe that was a factor, but I want to be prepared this year. Also we tend to wear more lightweight shorts in the heat, khakis for me and athletic shorts for the kids so they're thinner than denim.

Yeah I have never been so I don't know first hand, but the changing pads sound great too!

Nothing. I'm not disabled, so I stand for parades.

That is very rude as most people are sitting as not to be rude to the families behind them! You should apologize for saying this!

We love to sit down in our favorite spot and have a snack while waiting for the parade. Once the parade arrives we may or may not stand up to get a better view depending on how many young persons are watching behind us. :)

:lmao:that's what I am planning on doing too-with the snacks!
