DH and I are going to WDW in 17 days :woohoo: and we were thinking that instead of using gardengrocer, we'd save the money and ship a box ahead of us to be picked up on check-in.

What do you put in your boxes? We'd probably only do breakfast things, but about the only thing I can think of is granola bars!! :rotfl2: We both plan on getting the mugs for coffee/soda/hot chocolate in the morning.

Ideas?? :wizard:

You mean like snack foods??? Small bags of chips, bottles of water, crackers, cookies.. Could you possibly go ahead and send your shampoo's and other hygiene stuff ahead so that would be less to pack?

We were thinking (or trying to, anyway!) of heavier things we could pack in the boxes, to avoid having our luggage be too heavy.

But then, we were thinking we'd have to pack them to bring home with us, anyway, plus souvenirs, so maybe that wouldn't work?? :confused3

We don't plan on carrying anything into the parks with us, other than our camera, so we probably wouldn't take snack stuff. But, maybe we'd like to have some in the room with us??

GAH!! I think I'm over-thinking this!! :lmao:

Everything you ship down you can ship back home from your resort. We do it all the time. I make sure I put packing tape, an extra box and marker in there. I ship it from the concierge desk at the resort via UPS ground and get a tracking #. We use UPS to ship it down too. In our box I put Pepsi(can't stand Coke!LOL) bottled water, small cereal boxes, all our toiletries, our pins, the kids Mickey ears, flip flops and our Crocs, drink boxes for the kids, M&M's(can't leave home without them!) mini muffins(Hostess or Entemens that are packaged in little bags) pop tarts, gum. I try to ship as much as possible because we like to only use carryons. We usually ship back most of our souvenirs too! You can always get a box from your resorts front desk.

Shipping back from the resort sounds like a great idea. We are planning on shipping to our resort in Sept. but didn't really think of shipping back. When you say you can get a box from the resort's front desk, do all resorts have boxes? We're staying at AKL, and I would much rather purchase an additional box there instead of trying to bring one in case everything doesn't fit in our box sent.
