What do you recommend: 12/26/17 HEA or Candlelight Processional

DH and I caught the Disney bug after staying at POFQ this summer. We can't wait to go back, and with a timeshare we thought we could go back at Christmas, that was till we saw the cost of flights.

Well, tonight it's looking good so he's booking 12/23 to 12/27. He said no Disney, but come on. So now we have to decide between one day at Magic Kingdom with the goal of seeing HEA, which we missed in July due to 4th of July fireworks, or an ADR at Epcot and the Candlelight Processional.

What say you Disney fan-antics?

Go with the Candlelight Processional because it's the Christmas Holiday Wishes fireworks show at MK rather than HEA.

Are you considering the HEA dessert party or a CP dining package? That's the only way I would do either. To say it will be crowded at both parks, is a severe understatement. Will you ever go back to WDW? If so, I would pick CP as it's unique to the season (but, seriously, you need to consider the dining package) and HEA will play all year long. If this will be your only trip back, do HEA and do the dessert party or stake out your spot hours ahead of time.

Oh, we will be back. We own a timeshare.

We were actually at Disney 2 years ago at Christmas and swore never again. Call us crazy, we're going back. I guess we will go with Epcot.

New wrinkle is the cost of a one day pass. However, DH gets a good work discount on a three day pass. So now I wonder about trying to go into MK on Saturday, 12/23 in the evening, AK on 12/24 or 25 and Epcot on 12/26.

Gosh, we are crazy.

As previous poster said, it's Holiday Wishes, not HEA at that time of year. I would vote for Candlelight Processional.

According to the park schedule, this year they are only doing Holiday Wishes on party nights. It's HEA every non-party night including the week between Christmas and New Years except for the NYE fireworks on Dec. 30 and 31. Don't know if it will change, but as of now HEA is scheduled for Dec. 26.

Park schedules also show FoF as the parade from December 23-30th when the MOUCParade is in "daily ops" at twice per day. All things Christmas run daily after the last Christmas Party.
