What do you put in your kid's stocking?

DD3 is getting a Barbie, coloring books w/a box of crayons, 2 rolls of stickers, a little candy, an orange (family tradition) and batteries for her new toys.

We usually put tooth brushes/tooth paste, chapsticks, pencils/pens, small candies like push pops and chocolate coins, dvds/cds.
This year i'll be getting a lot of their stocking stuffers at Disney, can't wait to see what I come up with!

I got a lot of stuff for DD at Disney in October such as a little purse with nail polish and lip gloss, fake nails ( tacky but she loves them!), Mickey shaped claw clips, a pin, and a Princess pen and notepad set that hangs on the door to leave "messages". Her Cheetah girls concert tickets are going in there, too!

DS is a little harder at 12 so he's getting movie tickets, Barnes and Noble gift card(DD gets this too), I tunes gift card, Gift Certificate for a summer basketball camp, a SI Kids magazine subscription renewal.

DS 3.5 is getting all Sponge Bob stuff:
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Cup for bathroom
Play shaving kit with shaving cream, razor, and mirror
Travel set with lip balm, shampoo, and body wash
Bubble bath

I love finding the little things to put into stockings. All of 4 of them (2girls 2 boys) will be getting a 25$ gc to Red lobster, they are always bugging us to go so I thought that would be cute. The girls are getting some Hello Kitty stuff from targets 1$ spot the boys are getting ball like yo yo s that come back easy and they will all be getting some candy plus the usual cool toothbrush.

Both are getting underwear, a necklace with a small cross, toothpaste, toothbrush, a few books & a few bookmarks.

Individually, they'll both probably get some bath stuff & a few other trinkety things. When they were little I wrapped less & did more stocking stuff. Now, I wrap more & give less in the stocking. They still get spoiled!

Gotta love that Target $1 spot! DS8 is getting assorted Mickey items from that aisle -- pens, notepads, little books, etc., as well as gummy SpongeBob Krabby Patties, a dvd or two, a giant metal M&M tin, and a beanie stuffed Stitch. At least, that's it for now. I'm a sucker for all the cute items in holiday aisles...

We love stockings !
Ours our so overflowing that we end up having a second bag of stuff for each of us.
We wrap the items individually so it takes longer to go through it, it was a tradition my Mom started.
One year before my son was boen we decided that we would forgo the stocking tradition. Christmas morning was so boring !
We quickly went back to it

We are stuffing DS's stocking with Matchbox cars. He loves them! We'll also put in some "big boy" underpants (praying for a miracle with those), a new hat to match a new coat, new toothbrush and toothpaste, some candy.

His stocking is not that big. Hopefully we will get it all in.

For dd (10), she is getting perfume (body spray), hair clips, contact lens solution, Hershey bar (her favorite candy), gum, American Girl chapstick from Bath & Body, a book and an itunes GC.

For ds (5), he will get Skittles (his favorite candy), body wash, some hot wheels, crayons, a book and a bowling GC.

small stuffed frogs that have magnets in the hands and feet

I think that's all, truthfully I've slept since I shopped.

Now I remember. Bought some stuff on the birthday isle.

Finger bowling_ miniture pins with marbles.
the little pads with metal shavings that you use the pin to give a face hair and stuff
fuzzy color book with four little markers

hairbrush
inexpensive bracelet (Tink and Sleeping Beauty)
a CD (Happy Feet Soundtrack and Curious George Soundtrack)
Small Littlest Pet Shop figure
Small stuffed animal peeking out of the top of the stocking (Family Tradition)

I wrap each thing individually in colored tissue paper (one color paper for each -- which also helps me keep everyhing straight!). That is also a family tradition.

I know I'm not an adult and I won't be filling anybody's stockings this year, but I saw this thread and thought I might help y'all out a bit

When I was younger, these were some of my favourite things to find ''santa'' had put in my stocking...

NOTE: I'm a girl obviously, so I sadly can't help much when it comes to little boys' stockings

-Fruity-smelling bubble bath and bath bombs
-Jewlery (doesn't have to be expensive at all, girls like any cute jewelery)
-Lip glosses/nail polishes (getting makeup for a little girl makes her feel so grown-up, and girls love to doll themselves up!)
-Holiday Cookie-cutters (because what little girl doesn't love baking with mom?)
-Special Christmas Ornaments (especially Disney princess ones)
-Disney Movies
-Books

Those were some of my favourite things, but every child is different. I think to know what is best to fill up the stocking, you have to know your child and their preferences. My little brother seems to like spiderman stuff and those stick-on tattos, but other than that I don't really know what little boys like.

Oh, and not my favourite thing to find, but still an awesome, classic stocking stuffer: the loofa! If all else fails, fill it up with a big loofa!

Almost always, some type of bath product that takes up a lot of room - shampoo and conditioner, bath gel, bubble bath. Then, a few little things like lip gloss, toothpaste, socks, etc.

And a hundred dollar bill in the toe!!!

Wow, sounds like an awesome stocking! ( especially the little surprise in the toe! ). It seems there's a trend in bath products being in the stocking; you're right, they do take up alot of room, which is good .

We have beautiful (if I do say so myself!) needlepoint stockings that I made for each of us, and they are BIG!!! So it takes a lot to fill them up - they could each hold 5 or 6 bottles of Bath & Body Works lotions and potions. I fill in with a lot of candy, and sometimes an apple, too - because my mom always put fruit in our stockings.

Some years it's a $20 or a $50, if the gifts are more expensive.

Any ideas on stocking stuffers for a 15 month old girl? I got her small Xmas Mickey & Minnie stuffed toys from the Disney store that may fit, but if not I've got nothing. Maybe a bag of the toddler dried fruit snacks that she loves. Any other thoughts? Obviously at this age choking hazards are a big issue.

Briarrose, our younger dd is 15 mths too. I'm just getting her small toys that will fit in the stocking (I'll have to take them out of the packages they come in. She's getting 2 Leapfrog maracas that light up and do ABC/123's. She's also getting Elmo DVDs, and some animal crackers in the little boxes.

How about a fun sippy cup... headbands for her hair, any kind of Gerber Toddler snacks, a bath toy, the disney washcloths that you put in water and they expand, cute socks/slippers, big crayons and coloring book, flash cards, a board book, baby toothbrush, small brag book/photo book filled with her "own" pictures of family. Just some thoughts... I love stockings and gave my DD her first when she was only 10 weeks old... Have fun!!
