I have wondered for a while how much others pay for there internet connection??

I have MSN and I pay $21.95 a month. But I dislike their Customer service and that they need a monthly automatic withdrawal.

So what do you pay??

I have wal-mart connect.com. I only pay 9.94 a month. I really like it. Never had any problems with it.:wave2:

I get verizon DSL for $29.95 with MSN. I'm far to impatient for dial up. I get charged on my phone bill.

I have PeoplePC and my monthly charge is $10.95. They have excellent customer service and I've never had a problem with them. My dial in number is also very close to my home so I don't have to pay toll charges. It's a great deal for me all the way around.

I guess I am on the expensive side with cable service at $45.95 a month but I don't think I could ever go back to dialup.

AOL 14.95 with a year contract. I thinks its 50.00 if you cancel before the year is up... Great savings I learned about on these boards.

We pay $26.99 for dsl with MSN through our local phone company. (Qwest). We had cable internet a few years ago and I loved the speed but had a huge problem with the $$$ they were asking. I went back to dial up with AOL until this opportunity for about $2 extra a month to upgrade to DSL.

NetZero for 9.95/month. Frankly, i don't understand why anyone would have AOL or MSN unless there's simply not an access number for NetZero, Wal-Mart, or one of the other low cost providers. You're using the same phone line, so why pay more for AOL or MSN? The AOL for 14.95 is limited hours I believe.

I also have a cable modem.......I love it......it's worth every penny of the $46.00 a month I pay.

I honestly don't know, I installed it years ago and it has worked ever since. Never a need for tech support. Oh...and I can tell you I'm able to logon and not get booted 99% of the time. I had AOL for 5 or 6 years and it was always a challenge logging on and STAYING on, but maybe that has changed.

We also have NetZero for 9.95/month. I switched from my AOL ($23.90/month) months ago.

We have never used Tech Support and we have never had a problem with NetZero. Internet works fine and kids use AIM to talk with their friends which is free.

DSL with Verizon here is $34.95 a month. But DH works for Intel and they pay it since he works from home occasionally... and with dial-up, you can't get a good Intel connection.

Then, we pay $40 a year to keep email accounts that we have had for 8 and 10 years. But that is definately worth it!

I'm at $29.99 for adelphia cable-- but it's an add on to an upgraded cable package. So in the long run, they got me for more services. It all works out though. I can't deal w/ dial-up anymore, but that is because of being spoiled by cable modem.

we pay 14.95 for netzero highspeed. We recently switched from AOL and will never go back. With AOL we couldn't keep a connection for more than 5 minutes, often not being able to check email without getting booted. Since I switched to netzero I have never had a disconnect. Wonderful.

We have cable modem through adelphia, and we pay 7.95 a month for aol BYOA for AOL whcih was a promotion about a year ago.(bring your own access). Didn't want to switch my email over to another account so i kept aol.

Okay- I beat you all- We pay $59 a month. We don't have cable where we live, so I had to go Direcway Satellite. I love it, though. I'll never go back to dial up-
