What do you order at Le Cellier?

Any suggestions please....we have dinner ressies here and on the DDP :)

We got great food when we went and we would recommend any of these!! :thumbsup2

Starters:
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage

Entrees:
Coffee-rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak
Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon

Desserts:
Maple Creme Brulee
Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake

we love the mushroom filet...desserts - love both the chocolate "moose" mousse and the maple creme brulee. DD, 20 yr. old, liked the salmon. We all like the bread sticks (come with any meal) and we always order one bowl of the cheese soup, paying OOP for it - and use it as dip for the bread sticks. Yum. We'll be eating there in just 13 days!

I was actually torn between these two haha, both sound yummy!
And I HAVE to try that cheese soup

Yes the cheese soup is a MUST for us!!:lovestruc:thumbsup2

I had the Coffee-rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak which was good and my DH had the Mushroom Filet Mignon. Though they were both good next time I go I am getting the Mushroom Filet Mignon so tender and so, so good!!
That's my vote!

This was one of my favorite restaurants throughout the whole trip. We also had the DDP.

Starters:
Beer cheese soup with the pretzel bread- extremely delicious

Entree:
Filet Mignon with Mushroom Risotto- I don't like mushrooms at all, but this was very good.

Dessert:
Maple Creme Brulee- I'd never had Creme Brulee before so I wasn't exactly sure what it would taste like, but I didn't really enjoy it. That's not to say that it was the restaurant's fault, but my own personal taste. My mother ordered the Chocolate Whiskey Cake, though, and loved it.

All the pics I've seen of the food here, the portions look small. Is that the case?

My entree is more like my side dish as my main meal is the pretzel bread.:thumbsup2

Well, I'll just second and third what everyone has already said... We ate there 2 weeks ago..

The Mushroom Filet Mignon is fabulous..
The soft breadsticks come in three varieties. The pretzel bread dipped in the cheddar cheese soup is very yummy. Kids get an appetizer here, and this is what my DS6 got.. But we all shared. LOL
I had the Maple Creme Brulee which was delicious, and my DD11 got the Chocolate "Moose" which came in the shape of a moose, with maple leaf ears. It was cute and yummy.

I did not find the portions to be small. Everything was great. I've already looked up the recipe for the cheddar cheese soup and plan on attempting to recreate it at home. :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I hear you.

I always order the cheese soup, the filet, minus the mushrooms, with the cream cheese mashed potatos. And the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake is :worship::worship::worship:

Hubby and I share the Steamed Muscles Appetizer but this changes with our mood...

what doesn't change is our main course:

Fillet Mignon for our meal :love::love::love::love:

Dessert it depends on our mood. :upsidedow

I don't think the portions are small; but it's relative -- I think portions in the US are huge compared to north of the 49th... so I suppose "small" or "large" depends on what your norm is. We always leave stuffed and I usually can barely finish the risotto that comes with the Fillet and hubby needs to help me with the dessert (LOL and I am not a tiny girl)

I always get the mushroom filet with the risotto and a caesar salad....omg it is fantastic

Mushroom Filet with risotto. YUM!

The sorbet is a nice dessert after a big meal.

My DH and I always start off with the spicy chicken and chipotle sausage appetizer which is too die for. I always order the scallops and a side of their oven roasted mushrooms. My husband always has the mushroom filet mignon with a side of their risotto or their mashed potatoes. We always order a couplf of glasses of their ice wine which is so so so good! Yummy - I can't wait to go back. I think their food is awesome.

I totally agree w/ you. US portions are rediculously large. DD & I are headed to Paris in 2010 & I've seen pics of the food there & told her we need to be prepared to eat smaller. And slow down.

If on the dining plan do we have to pay extra for any of the entrees? sorry to high jack your post for a moment.
