What do you need cash for?

We're staying onsite and have the DDP. Other than souveniers and the occasional extra food - what else might we run into that requires cash?

If you will be driving around Orlando, you might need some small amounts of cash for toll roads.

You'll be able to charge up to about $500 on your room key from anywhere in the World. So, unless you'll be doing other stuff in Orlando. You really don't need much cash.

I definitely will use cash for all tips from now on. I have used cash in the past, but on this last trip, charged tips to my room.

I had the most awful experience at Chef les France and if I had enough cash on me (instead of the room safe), I would have adjusted my tip even more.

I'm taking cash for small tips, 2 taxi rides, and Fairy Godmothers. I too am trying to think of other things I may need hard cash for. Most things I'll charge to the room.

It always makes me uneasy to charge things to our room. I'm always worried about losing my card so we never charge anything to our rooms. Instead, DH and do it all by cash. Plus, it's nice to have a bit of money for water and such if you don't want to use a snack credit. Oh! don't forget to get a roll or two of quarters and pennies. My son loved pressing pennies.

We just got back and I carried the same $40 in my pocket all week. I never touched it. We had the DDP and stayed on-site, so the only cash I used was for tips upon arriving and leaving.

I don't think I'll ever feel comfortable being out and about with no cash, but seriously...I never used it.

Trust me and take some cash the first time you use the room key. I was a bit embarrassed at Ghirardelli when my room key wouldn't work, and I didn't have a dime on me -- luckily a call to the the Beach Club sorted it out!

Some of the concessions don't take the KTTW. Also in Animal Kingdom the Dinasour area has carnival type games that only take cash
