What do you miss most in the World?

Alien Encounter

Amazing if not a little misplaced

I think if they had put it in Hollywood Studios it would have worked but for some silly reason it went into MK

I wish I could have experienced that ride! Stitch is just awful!!!!

You're right, DHS would have been perfect! They could have done that instead of Sounds Dangerous!!!!

I agree it would have fit so well at the studios! I really do not understand how a ride of that nature ended up in MK.
I was a child 1st time I rode it and the fear that went through me made me want to be sick lol. I think teens would still love this ride it just needed to be at HS!

1 - Horizons. I watch it on youtube all the time now. So sad. I would probably contribute to a "Bring Back Horizons" fund if there was one (not that Disney needs any more of my $$:)

2 - Body Wars

3 - Mickey's ToonTown

My usual response to these types of threads: The return of Dreamfinder and Figment as meetable characters. My son would probably try to spend the whole day with them if he could.

YES YES YES. Those were the days of wonder, innocence, and celebration of POSSIBILITES!

I do remember Kitchen Kabaret's "Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit" too when I saw it at age 14 and acted like a preschooler having so much fun just being silly and light.... much better than Fruit salad, yummy yummy......

When mickeys toon town was MICKEYS BIRTHDAy land! And they had the best stage show there where they were throwing Mickey a surprise party!

The magic shop on Main Street where I got my invisible dog leash!

The double decker buses that used to have the characters driving around the world showcase!

In HS where TSM is, that used to be my official Mickey meet and greet! We always went there to see Mickey!

We saw living statues at Downtown Disney two weeks ago! They were great.

I had no idea they were at DTD. And we were just there two weeks ago, too!

Thanks for the tip. Will check it out next time!

Oh my, I can't limit it to just one thing!

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea with the Day-glo sea creatures. So hokey but I loved it.

The au gratin potatoes at Ohana. They were SO good!

The buses that drove around World Showcase.

The song from carousel of progress that was there when I was a kid, it went "Now is the time, now is the best time, now is the best time of your life..." i don't like the current song as much, which if I'm not mistaken is the original song. I also really really miss Alien Encounter.

Tapestry of Nations -- always made me cry.
Cranium Commando -- so funny
The Adventurer's Club -- silly fun for adults

I miss Mission to Mars. That was an awesome adventure to me as a kid. I wish that would be a limited time Magic. You can't recreate that film for a week I know that, but that would be awesome for me.

Pretty much Main Street. I miss the great magic shop, the penny arcade, and the theater. I grew up on the other side of the world with family trips to Disneyland and I have fond memories of all three, especially the latter. Ducking into the theater to watch Steamboat Willie over and over again was a great way to rest.

Maybe I'm old and my memory is going, but I thought that at least the theater was still open back in the mid-late 90s at Disney World.

I felt crappy after talking up the magic shop and the chance to watch Steamboat Willie in a little theater to my kids. Then we arrived and Main Street was nothing but shops and no penny games or even the electro-shock strength tester.

Outside of Main Street, I sorely miss the Skyway and Mr. Toad's.

And a couple others, but I'm honestly not sure if these were ever at Disney World or if I'm misplacing earlier memories from Disneyland: Mission to Mars and Journey Through Inner Space.
