We all know that WDW is the most magical place on earth, but whilst you are away is there anything that you miss about home and even if momentarily makes you wish you could back and get a fix of? :D

For me I start to wonder what is going on in the world, I try and find out from the bulletins on the TV, but I find the american news tends to focus very much on local city/state news with bit of national coverage. Harldy anything is said about world affairs.

For my wife it would be our three cats, she spoils them rotten all year and when we pick them up from their holiday accomodation (cattery) ;) they get extra portions of fish for tea for a week :teeth:

That's us but what about you????

Hi, I think we miss the pets after about a week but other than that, I don't miss anything...even after 2 weeks I don't want to come back lol

Anz :earsgirl:

'NOTHING'

The children miss their two cats but that's it - Disney is just sooooo much better than being at home!

I really don't miss anything at all. Although I do realise that Orlando is very much a holiday destination and total escapism, and I try not to see it through rose-tinted spectacles, the more I visit, the more I think I could be happy living there. I hate coming home and I'm sure I could be happy with a far simpler lifestyle there (I don't mind hard graft, but I could do without the pressure and stress of my current job). Hey! I've reached middle age and I'm starting to re-assess!

If (when :p ) I move there, I imagine I will miss my garden more than anything.

It's gotta be this site ! cos you know that while ya there there is gonna be a time when you want to know something and you can't get on the dis boards to find the answer !

I also miss my parrot, dog, 2 cats, 4 guinnea pigs and my bunny.

I could go on to say Coronation St and Eastenders (how sad)

hi:wave:

Perhaps diet irn-bru but nothing else.

Absolutely nothing

It's the other way round and I think of all the things I miss about Florida when I am home ::yes::

Decent beer and my dog!:teeth: I can cope though!

My family sounds silly, but I always wonder if they are ok, and hope nothing has happened while I have been away .....oh and the gossip!! hehe!!

And I always thought I was the only one who missed the post (not the post man just the mail)!!!

Other than that, I dont miss much else!!!

Hi there

I'm with you TinkTatoo, I miss WDW/DCL terribly and love looking at my photos and videos that carry me through to my next visit. If I had to think of one thing that I miss, it would probably be a decent cup of tea, but who needs tea when you can have a bahama mama.

I don't miss anything about home when we are away apart from the first night or two when I miss my dogs. After that I don't even think about home, I don't ring home, I only write postcards under duress! In fact one year when we were in Disney, someone from home rang us to speak about a problem with our bathroom and we felt as though our holiday had been invaded! We didn't want to know about anything that was happening at home.

What do I miss about Florida when I'm at home?

EVERYTHING!

Even the 4pm rainstorms!

Walkers Cheese & Onion crisps. Thats it. Im sure if I lived there I could get a box shipped over once a month. Otherwise, NOTHING.
Would move there in an instant!

I miss my dog "Bella".

She's 17 on the 21-05-04 and I worry about her every time we go away!

She's been with me through quite a lot in those years and she's my oldest surviving relative at the moment - I've only known my wife for 15 years!

My instant answer was "not a thing". After careful consideration it's still "not a thing".
