What do you mean you don't want to go?? The End - 12/17

After that, we all headed to Spaceship Earth.

IMG_0844.jpg

I must have been really out of it when we went on this ride in January, because I don’t remember any of this!

IMG_0845.jpg

IMG_0850.jpg

IMG_0851.jpg

Ack! We’re caught in the Matrix – where’s Keanu Reeves when you need him?

IMG_0853.jpg

IMG_0854.jpg

IMG_0859.jpg

Our futures were pretty funny.

IMG_0860.jpg

The Zombies finally get my brain in the future – Bummer
DH how do the zombies make you feel?

IMG_0863.jpg

IMG_0860.jpg

IMG_0864.jpg

We went to the big screen and saw Panic and Greg

IMG_0870.jpg

And we played some of the little games they had there

IMG_0872.jpg

Next, we headed to Innoventions for Sum of All Thrills.

IMG_0883.jpg

This had better be pretty thrilling!

IMG_0873.jpg

Ohh Math! We’re all nerds and contemplated all the ways that the equation didn’t relate to the picture or the concept.

IMG_0874.jpg

You did not tell me there’d be math involved – I don’t know if I can contain myself!

IMG_0884.jpg

So we went into the design room and started working on our coasters

IMG_0888.jpg

IMG_0889.jpg

Loop – a –riffic!

IMG_0892.jpg

All 3 groups achieved "Super Looper" status.

We wandered around, and played with some of the stuff.

IMG_0894.jpg

I mostly stared at the ceiling. Puuuuuuuuurty lights!

IMG_0897.jpg

Then we decided to make some paper.

IMG_0901.jpg

IMG_0904.jpg

IMG_0902.jpg

It was kind of cool, but not as fun as I’d hoped.

Oh my god, I totally forgot about the bun, sausage, mustard ratio! Thanks so much for the educational picture! :lmao:

Looks like you had some fun eating around the world. I love just wandering around during F&W and just grazing....well, it's actually more like pigging then grazing, but you know.....

Then we headed to mission space.

IMG_0906.jpg

IMG_0907.jpg

Oh yeah – I walk on the wild side – orange all the way!

IMG_0910.jpg

The wait was posted at 10 minutes. But as we entered the line, someone had a "biological spill" on the ride, so it was shut down. We decided to skip out and headed to the Electric Umbrella for some refreshment instead.

Sad, but this is the first time I saw these. I never understood why it was called the electric umbrella – I get it now! (yes, I never really was the sharpest knife in the drawer – in fact, they don’t even let me touch the sharpest knife in the drawer!)

IMG_0920.jpg

Next up, the Living Seas!

IMG_0923.jpg

IMG_0925.jpg

IMG_0927.jpg

Neeeeeemooooooooooo Where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?

IMG_0930.jpg

Nemo?

IMG_0931.jpg

I love the Jellyfish part! They’re eerie and cool

IMG_0932.jpg

IMG_0933.jpg

Yay – we found Nemo!

IMG_0936.jpg

After we found Nemo, we headed to Turtle Talk. We somehow timed it perfectly that we just walked right in.

IMG_0940.jpg

Crush had a bikini this time – I think the Buzz Lightyear is funnier.

IMG_0939.jpg

After turtle Talk we explored the Seas a bit – something we never really do.

Manatees!

IMG_0943.jpg

Num, num

IMG_0946.jpg

IMG_0948.jpg

Who knew this was here?

IMG_0944.jpg

While we were exploring, we saw a dive tour.

IMG_0949.jpg

and no-so hidden mickey!

IMG_0950.jpg

IMG_0951.jpg

Another Mickey – what does that guy this he owns this place or something?

IMG_0952.jpg

IMG_0953.jpg

We also played some of the games they have

IMG_0953.jpg

After that, we parted ways with Matt and Rachel. They headed to Maelstrom and we headed to Belgum!

Of course, we stopped to have a beer for the long journey ahead

GetInline-8.jpg

It would be faster if this tree didn’t jump out in front of me

IMG_0959.jpg

While they got beer I checked my messages

IMG_0960.jpg

We all had the mussels

GetInline-9.jpg

I also had the godiva iced coffee (again I think I’m missing pictures!)

So yummy!

Next we headed to France

IMG_0963.jpg

Escargot and a Parisian Slushie (WOW!!) for me

IMG_0964.jpg

And Escargot and a pomegranate kir for Panic.

IMG_0963.jpg

IMG_0968.jpg

IMG_0972.jpg

Next up, Ireland (where I accidently started making Ball Jokes with the CM… so I decided it was time to stop drinking lol) The Fisherman's pie was un-real!

After that we headed to Canada for some Cheese Soup

IMG_0986.jpg

I had the Chicken Chorizo with Polenta - also delish. (um seriously, I’m missing pictures – maybe I’ll go back and try to find them.

Our last stop was the Chacutrie and Cheese stand for a plate o' meat.

IMG_0988.jpg

Something on this plate was so so so yummy!

After that, it was getting really crowded for illuminations, so we decided to head back to the hotel, and figure out what to do next.

On the walk back DH asked me if we were done for the night. I said I didn't want to be, he said "me neither" famous last words.

IMG_0991.jpg

The boardwalk was hoppin!

IMG_0993.jpg

Oh my god, I totally forgot about the bun, sausage, mustard ratio! Thanks so much for the educational picture! :lmao:

Looks like you had some fun eating around the world. I love just wandering around during F&W and just grazing....well, it's actually more like pigging then grazing, but you know.....

:lmao: I couldn't think of any other explanation for that photo!

Grazing... Definitely grazing - sounds more lady like - and we all know what a proper lady I am :lmao:

I enjoyed all the update!

That is too funny about walking by your DH. Of all the places he could have been waiting...

My mom ALWAYS gets the people who want to tell their life story. It doesn't matter who it is, or where it is, she is always talked to. She hates it!

Your pic on Spaceship Earth made me laugh out loud. Too funny!

What type of slushie was that? I didn't know there was a red one. Love the Grey Goose though!

Glad you enjoyed 'em - there's more to come - I want to finish this, and I really really really really really don't want to clean the house :rotfl:

I just can't imagine spilling my guts to someone in line for the bathroom - so weird!

It was a cosmo slush. I think it was a F&W exclusive. It was so so good, so I'll be looking for it next week - I'll let you know if I find it! I haven't had the grey goose slush - I'll have to try it!

We got back up to the room and Panic, Greg and I tried to decide what to do next. Meanwhile DH "just laid down for a minute"

IMG_0994.jpg

We decided to go to the MK since it was open until 12. Greg was Thrilled by this decision

IMG_0997.jpg

This is a stick-up we go on the TTA and nobody gets hurt!

IMG_0999.jpg

Finally, the Magic Kingdom was in sight.

IMG_1001.jpg

Of course, we got there at the exact worst time… right as the Main Street Electrical Parade was toiling down Main Street.

IMG_1005.jpg

We were doing well until we got caught behind this family with 2 double wide strollers. The parents were at each others' throats. It was irritating and comical all at once. They kept cutting in front of us and stopping. Finally we made it to the Tomorrow Land Terrace, and just burst out laughing.

As if to say thank you from the universe for putting up with the stroller family, a family of Jessie Woody and Buzz stopped us and said "Happy Halloween" and handed us 3 FPs for Buzz. Thank you nice family!

We salute you

IMG_1011.jpg

So we headed strait to Buzz to Cash in on our spoils.

IMG_1008.jpg

As usual, Panic beat the pants off of me!

IMG_1012.jpg

IMG_1015.jpg

We then headed to Space Mountain to check out the wait - 70 minutes. Pass. So we did the next most thrilling ride at the MK - The TTA!

Look at the anticipation.

IMG_1018.jpg

At least there wasn't a 20 minute wait this time.

Next we made our way through the maze used to be fantasy land, now more aptly named "green construction wall land"

IMG_1029.jpg

IMG_1030.jpg

IMG_1031.jpg

And headed to Frontierland to the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness.

IMG_1045.jpg

Along the way, we saw Splash being evacuated. Guess that's out!

There was actually a line this time, though not long.

IMG_1036.jpg

I've never really ridden BTMRR in a car by myself before. Holy moly was I sliding around. It actually felt a little dangerous!

After that, we headed back to check the time on Space Mountain, but it was still over an hour (though I'm not positive that time was accurate) so we decided to skip it and head back to the hotel. We were pretty spent.

IMG_1046.jpg

WOW, I think I can safely say, these are drive-by updates :lmao: which are great as usual. Have fun on your next trip!

Oh man, TTA is the most exciting ride at MK!

Um, I would like a side salad with my update please. :rotfl:

I woke up around 7:30, and took a shower and got ready. The plan was for us to pack up and head to DHS until 11. But by 8:30, I was still the only one awake. I headed down to the boardwalk to walk around and find some breakfast. But I didn't want to sit down at Kouzzina and I wasn't a huge fan of the Boardwalk Bakery the day before. There was a boat to DHS sitting at the dock, so I decided to hop on it and get breakfast from Starring Rolls Café.

While on the boat, I realized that I was going to a park by myself. Wow. I sure brought my big girl pants!

IMG_1049.jpg

When I arrived at DHS, the welcome show was just starting. Hey, I made it to Rope Drop. I'm on fire here!

IMG_1053.jpg

IMG_1058.jpg

IMG_1059.jpg

As I was standing at on the sidewalk I thought about what I would do now that I was there. I decided not to follow the crush of people to TSM, because 3/4 of the fun of that ride is trying to beat the person next to you. So my plan changed to RnRC and ToT. Then the director guy announced that RnRC wasn't quite ready for the day, so I figured I'd do that 2nd.

The sent us down the road, and I headed straight to my destination…

I was first in line!

I got a chocolate croissant. It was so yummy, I should have gotten two!

(stupid missing pictures!)

Next, I headed down Sunset Boulevard to Tower of Terror.

IMG_1057.jpg

IMG_1060.jpg

IMG_1065.jpg

There was a dad with 2 little boys who had never been on it before in front of me. The little boys were quizzing their dad who was trying to convince them it wouldn't be scary. The one little boy wasn't buying it "dad, terror means scary. It's a tower of scary" I almost laughed out loud. The little boy had a point. We loaded in the elevator and the little boy was next to me. He was still way skeptical about this "tower of scary" Once the ride started he was giggling almost the whole way, and when it stopped and brought us back he exclaimed "That was totally awesome, we're going again" Cute!

My intention was to head to RnRC next, but the CMs were telling people that there were technical difficulties and it was down for the day. Bummer. Guess that means I'll have to ride ToT again… So I did.

IMG_1066.jpg

IMG_1067.jpg

DH texted me as we were loading the ride, so afterwards, I headed back to the boat.

IMG_1068.jpg

IMG_1069.jpg

Soon, I was on my way back – I survived my first solo park trip!

IMG_1070.jpg

Solo day at a park! So grown up! :lmao:

That's my goal for the future is to do something like that on my own soon.

I would have seriously had a panic attack is my travel partner said they didn't want to go!

Yeah, it was definitely not the best moment in our marriage. I totally understand why he said he didn't want to go, but I'm so glad he did!

:rotfl: It was right up there with potty training in terms of "big girl" tasks in my book :rotfl:

I don't think I'd like to take a whole solo trip, I guess I just need the companionship - but it is kind of nice to just run away a little bit. Hope you get to do it on your next trip.

When I got back to the hotel, everyone was up and packed, so we gathered our stuff and took it down to bell services.

IMG_1072.jpg

By this point, it was almost 11, so we decided just to head to Epcot.

IMG_1077.jpg

I loved this view – who knew you could see the Balloon from Epcot?

IMG_1078.jpg

IMG_1079.jpg

We discussed lunch options and decided it would be best to have a "real" meal instead of just F&W stands. So we settled on Coral Reef. We still had about 30 minutes before it was open, so we decided to check out the Festival Center.

IMG_1081.jpg

IMG_1082.jpg

IMG_1083.jpg

I miss Wonders of life! Being in there made me remember the old attraction, and I’m so bummed it’s not around anymore!

Not much excitement at that point, so we headed over to the Living Seas.

IMG_1087.jpg

IMG_1085.jpg

IMG_1086.jpg

IMG_1088.jpg

IMG_1089.jpg

What do you mean we have to wait?

IMG_1095.jpg

We were seated fairly quickly, even without an ADR.

IMG_1096.jpg

For appetizers, Greg and Monica split the mussels. (victim of the missing pictures!)

I had the goat cheese and beet salad. It was quite tasty.

IMG_1098.jpg

DH had the Lobster soup. I wasn't a fan - he said it was okay.

For Entrees, Greg and I both had the wild mushroom and phylo dough. OMG it was beyond delicious.

IMG_1098.jpg

DH had the trout. It was very crispy and delicious.

IMG_1106.jpg

Panic got the Cesar Salad with Shrimp. I think she was having entrée envy.

IMG_1104.jpg

IMG_1110.jpg

When our server brought the bill, I was checking my watch. We were going to be cutting it close for the ME… (you all KNOW where this is going, right?)

Yes! More updates :thumbsup2

I'm proud of you for going solo again. That stinks about RnRC being down...but at least you got another ride on ToT! I love that one!

I'm sad this trip is coming to an end but am looking forward to your next one. Have a great time!

Thanks for keeping up with me! I've got one more update before we leave tomorrow!

ToT is one of my faves - but I was bummed about RnRc. Oh well, probably for the best given my luck in the single rider line...

So we headed out and made a beeline for the International Gateway. Once we left Panic and Greg, I told DH to go ahead. I'm short and my blisters had blisters. I told him just to try to make it, and I'd be right behind him.

He got there as it was pulling away - 2 minutes early.

Seriously. I'm pretty sure that the universe is telling me I should not leave Disney - ever. Since I'm now well versed in how to handle this, I walked up to the concierge and ask to be switched to the next ME. I know they want people to make their assigned MEs, and I totally get the logic and reasoning behind that, but after you've already missed it, why must they make a big show of "squeezing" you onto the next one.

I've never been on a ME that was more than 1/2 full. I already feel bad for missing the ME and running from Epcot.

So we get placed on the next ME - which is in 30 minutes, and I head to the bathroom. I was in there for like 5-7 minutes tops. When I come back out, DH is looking panicked because the ME is loading. I hop on, and we left a good 5 minutes before our scheduled time. I'm not sure what it is with me and MEs, but here’s hoping next time is different!

IMG_1115.jpg

So even with missing the ME, we made it to the airport with an obscene amount of time to spare. So, we stopped at the Earport to pick up some cotton candy for my mom, and some sea salt caramels for us.

IMG_1122.jpg

The security line wasn’t nearly as bad as it has bee, so soon we were on our way.

GetInline-3.jpg

We got on our flight, 1st part of A again - thank you early check in, and soon we were headed back to our car.

GetInline-2.jpg

All in all, our first trip back to F&W in 6 years was a fun one. I would like to go for a longer time, and experience some of the special events, but it was a really fun trip (even if DH slept through most of it!)

Okay, that about does it = I actually can’t believe I made it! we leave early early tomorrow morning. If I don’t see you – Happy Holidays everyone – I’ll be back next year with a whole new TR.

Happy Halloween everyone! :rotfl:

I think your luck with ME is the cosmos trying to tell you that leaving Disney is not an option!

So sad when everything comes to an end. I'm going back to check out your PTR. Have fun on your trip and I'll hop on board when you start a new TR.

Oh my gosh...can't believe you missed the bus! At least you are an expert and knew what to do :)
