I've never ridden Everest in the dark before, so I'm going to have to give it a try. I've ridden Dinosaur in the dark though, many times. Always gets my seal of approval.

Everest in the dark sounds like fun. Someday I'll have to go on a day when AK is open past dusk to try it.

It was a totally different experience in the dark. I highly recommend it. It's too bad AK isn't open late more often (though I understand why - most of the animal-based attractions closed down at 5, so there wasn't much left)

Dinosaur in the Dark is awesome isn't it?? If you get the chance, definately do Everest in the dark - it really makes the ride different and a bit more thrilling.

Hm.... I bet Panic would beg to differ on how "fun" our converstations were She would get so mad at us for not being able to hear.

In all our trips, this was the first time that we'd ever managed to get to night time EMH at AK. I think it is because of the animals (and the park isn't lit very well either. But I hope you get to try it because it's so fun (almost as fun as Dinosaur in the dark!)

She arrived around 8:30, so we figured going to Epcot was out.

We headed to the bus stop, where Panic and Greg stopped for a dance party break

We arrived at DTD and headed on our quest to find food.

We got stuck in the back room… quieter, but not as fun as the main room.

Seriously, you woke me up for this?

First order of business? Drinks of course! Panic got an iced coffee drink and Greg got a whisky flight.

Panic’s coffee was yummy. We’re not fans of straight whisky, but Greg seemed to enjoy it…

I got a Bailey’s shake.

After dinner, and a rousing rendition of the Scottsman, we headed to Ghirardelli for some dessert.

Yes, I felt a bit out numbered with the boys - it was great to see Panic.

Nice to see the team of Joanna and Panic together again at Disney.

It was the first time we made it to Ghiradelli too - Yummy! I recommend appetizers at Raglan road - they're super yummy, and then you still have room for dessert!

Okay - like I said, I'm going to try to get this done before we leave. I'm not making any promises, because... well I'm not packed yet... but I'm going to give it a whole-hearted try. It might not be my best work, so please forgive me, but I'll try to get it done.

I woke up around 7 and got ready by about 7:45, as the plan was to go to DHS for EMH.

Can you guess where DH was?

However, when I went into the living room at 7:45, Panic and Greg were still in bed.

They got up, and got ready

DH kept sleeping, so we headed to the boardwalk bakery for breakfast.

Again, Panic and Greg paused for a dance party.

I had high hopes after lunch the day before, but all 3 of us declared our breakfasts "Okay"

Greg and I both had crossantwiches

and Panic had a fruit parfait – ‘cuz everybody loooves parfait

Unfortunately, she didn’t love it. That’s what you get for taking breakfast advice from a donkey.

After we were done eating, it was after 9, so we decided to scrap DHS and just head to Epcot.

Since the F&W festival wasn’t open yet, our first stop was Club Cool, since we had a new companion…er..victim.

We told Greg he had to try Beverly, and he took a big 'ole swig!

We know better, so we chose more wisely.

Fortunately, Greg understood that we had to do it, and he forgave us… this time...

After that fun little adventure, we headed to Soarin'

It was a better picture until this lady ran in front of us because I slowed down to take a picture. I’m pretty sure she just wanted a picture of her butt online, so I was happy to oblige

Standby was only 25 minutes, so we hopped in line.

The games weren't working, which made me sad, I haven't seen them yet.

After Soarin' we decided to give Living With The Land a whirl. (It’s okay Rachel – No Buffalo ahead! )

How 80’s are the murals for this ride? Even this line is more interesting than the Soarin’ one

It had been a while since I rode Living With the Land, and I'd forgotten a bunch of stuff. It was kind of cool.

I wonder if a fluted pumpkin tastes like a regular pumpkin?

Hmmmm could I get like a 30 lb Margarita to go with the 9 lb lemon? (I know, that’s lime, but the lemon is green and I can’t think of a drink with a lemon…)

It’s not the most exciting ride, but it’s a nice relaxing and interesting time killer.

Next, we headed to Captain EO. We tried to warn Greg of the cheesy 80's ness, but I don't think he was fully prepared for what lay within.

As we exited he informed us that he understood the Beverly, and applauded us for our efforts there, but he would never forgive us for Captain EO. Of course I asked him if he wanted me to buy him a shirt.

I have to say, I can't blame your DH for his initial reactions, he must have been soooo tired pulling a double shift like that. THat was a rotten thing for his employer to pull on him. I'm glad he ended up going & was able to sorta get caught up on his rest. You handled the situation beautifully motivating him to go afterall

Oh my god, Soarin' is really the most boring line ever! That's why I never like to wait in it, I just get fastpasses. Your pictures are too funny though, because that's what happens when I get bored with a camera.

I did feel so bad for DH, and it was frustrating, but it wasn't his fault. At least we've been going so much lately, that it's not like I felt the trip was ruined. But I did spend a lot of it without DH.

That's what we do too! I don't think I've ever waited in the line before. It's just awful. I was so bored - especially since DH wasn't there so I felt 3rd wheel-y at times - not bad, just boring when all there was to look at were blank walls.

At this point I called DH, but he wasn’t awake yet, and we were getting hungry, so we headed into the WS.

The first booth we came to was New Zealand.

Panic got the scallop

Greg got the Lamb slider (I thought I took a picture – but I guess not.)

Next, we headed to Mexico for the Cava del Tequila, but it wasn't open yet, so we browsed around the pavilion for a while.

These skulls are pretty and kind of creepy.

Our tequila plans were thwarted by a private event, so we headed out to continue our trek around the world.

Next, we headed to the Poland Booth.

Panic got the strawberry balsamic drink. She declared it weird but tasty. I am seriously allergic to strawberries, so I can’t tell you what I thought…

I got the perogie and kelbasa. We are polish, so although good, it just tasted like Easter to me.

We wandered by Norway, but decided to skip it, and headed to China

Next up was China.

No I don’t know why I felt compelled to take a picture of this ginger – Livin’ with the Land withdrawl?

While in China, we ran into Mulan.

Then we headed into the store to look at all the fun stuff.

Afterwards, we stopped at the South Korea both and got wine and kept walking – we figured we'd make our way to France and then go back to the hotel to see if DH was still alive. SO we made it it the African Outpost, when I glanced over and paused, the guy at the table looked familiar.

Oh yeah, I'm married to him!

Totally oblivious, he looked shocked when we sat down next to him

Apparently he’d called and I missed it, so he grabbed a beer and decided to wait for us. How he knew we'd be walking through the African Outpost is beyond me - but hey it worked!

At this point Matt called to say the were in Epcot, so we waited for them and enjoyed our wine

Finally, Matt and Rachel showed up

So, with the group assembled, we stopped at the Brewer's collection.

I'm not sure what everyone got. I can't drink beer, so I wasn't that interested. I just took pictures of our view instead.

Next, we headed to Germany.

There was a sausage on a pretzel roll with my name on it. Good – but really they can’t make bigger buns?

You see, there’s a bun to sausage ratio, and then you have to factor in mustard, the equation goes like this…

Next we headed to Italy where we got a fruit smoothie - so yummy I forgot to take a picture.

I noticed the gondolas that Rachel pointed out. Too bad they never made this a ride, It would have been so fun!

Next we headed to the United States for some Bison Chili (again – thought I had a picture)

And an heirloom tomato salad.

Both good, but not great. At this point I was getting full and hot.

I was in line for the bathroom in Japan and the person in front of me started talking to me - which in and of itself isn't bad… but she was like spilling her whole life story to me. It was really strange and slightly uncomfortable.

After that, we hopped on the boat and headed back to the future…

Um….well, Future World at least.

First stop… Club cool to initiate our newest victims of course!
