What do you mean you don't want to go?? The End - 12/17

I've never ridden Everest in the dark before, so I'm going to have to give it a try. I've ridden Dinosaur in the dark though, many times. Always gets my seal of approval. :lmao:

You have such fun conversations on your trips! I've actually never been to AK at night before, but it is on my must-do list. The park just never seems to stay open late enough on my trips :(

Everest in the dark sounds like fun. Someday I'll have to go on a day when AK is open past dusk to try it.

It was a totally different experience in the dark. I highly recommend it. It's too bad AK isn't open late more often (though I understand why - most of the animal-based attractions closed down at 5, so there wasn't much left)

:rotfl: Dinosaur in the Dark is awesome isn't it?? If you get the chance, definately do Everest in the dark - it really makes the ride different and a bit more thrilling.

Hm.... I bet Panic would beg to differ on how "fun" our converstations were :lmao: She would get so mad at us for not being able to hear.

In all our trips, this was the first time that we'd ever managed to get to night time EMH at AK. I think it is because of the animals (and the park isn't lit very well either. But I hope you get to try it because it's so fun (almost as fun as Dinosaur in the dark!)

She arrived around 8:30, so we figured going to Epcot was out.

Uh Oh, time for plan B

IMG_0635.jpg

Downtown Disney or Bust Bay-bee

IMG_0636.jpg

We headed to the bus stop, where Panic and Greg stopped for a dance party break

IMG_0638.jpg

(what? You explain that photo…)

I could tell you how the conversation on the bus ride went… but I’d rather show you…

Where are we going?

IMG_0640.jpg

Tell me Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!

IMG_0641.jpg

Um… I don’t know her.

IMG_0642.jpg

We arrived at DTD and headed on our quest to find food.

No food here

IMG_0643.jpg

or here

IMG_0644.jpg

Wow… we’re really bad with this…

IMG_0677.jpg

Hmm? Fultons?

IMG_0647.jpg

Raglan Road?

IMG_0669.jpg

Yes please!

IMG_0650.jpg

We got stuck in the back room… quieter, but not as fun as the main room.

IMG_0652.jpg

Seriously, you woke me up for this?

IMG_0654.jpg

First order of business? Drinks of course! Panic got an iced coffee drink and Greg got a whisky flight.

IMG_0658.jpg

Panic’s coffee was yummy. We’re not fans of straight whisky, but Greg seemed to enjoy it…

I got a Bailey’s shake.

IMG_0659.jpg

yum-a-rific

IMG_0663.jpg

We got the appetizer sampler platter

IMG_0664.jpg

what a plate of deliciousness!

We also split a plate of Bangers and Mash

IMG_0666.jpg

YUM!

After dinner, and a rousing rendition of the Scottsman, we headed to Ghirardelli for some dessert.

IMG_0670.jpg

This better be delicious.

IMG_0671.jpg

And it was

IMG_0674.jpg

um, I was supposed to share?

IMG_0675.jpg

After being significantly stuffed, we headed out and we all crashed.

IMG_0679.jpg

I bet it was great to have your sister arrive! Looks like a fun night downtown. Looking forward to the next update!

Nice to see the team of Joanna and Panic together again at Disney. :thumbsup2

Your desserts at Ghirardelli look so good. Someday I really want to give that place a try. The meals are usually so filling at Disney that by the time I get to Marketplace I'm not ususlly in the mood for dessert.

:scared1::scared1: Ticker say I have 4 days to complete this TR before we leave for our next trip.... Let the updating begin!

Mmmm, that food looks so good, especially that Bailey's shake!

The food is so good. The Bailey's shake was pretty good to - might have to get another one next week :cutie:

Yes, I felt a bit out numbered with the boys - it was great to see Panic.

It was the first time we made it to Ghiradelli too - Yummy! I recommend appetizers at Raglan road - they're super yummy, and then you still have room for dessert!

Okay - like I said, I'm going to try to get this done before we leave. I'm not making any promises, because... well I'm not packed yet... but I'm going to give it a whole-hearted try. It might not be my best work, so please forgive me, but I'll try to get it done.

I woke up around 7 and got ready by about 7:45, as the plan was to go to DHS for EMH.

Can you guess where DH was?

IMG_0680.jpg

However, when I went into the living room at 7:45, Panic and Greg were still in bed.

They got up, and got ready

IMG_0682.jpg

DH kept sleeping, so we headed to the boardwalk bakery for breakfast.

Again, Panic and Greg paused for a dance party.

IMG_0684.jpg

IMG_0685.jpg

I had high hopes after lunch the day before, but all 3 of us declared our breakfasts "Okay"

Greg and I both had crossantwiches

IMG_0692.jpg

and Panic had a fruit parfait – ‘cuz everybody loooves parfait

IMG_0691.jpg

Unfortunately, she didn’t love it. That’s what you get for taking breakfast advice from a donkey.

After we were done eating, it was after 9, so we decided to scrap DHS and just head to Epcot.

IMG_0695.jpg

Since the F&W festival wasn’t open yet, our first stop was Club Cool, since we had a new companion…er..victim.

IMG_0697.jpg

We told Greg he had to try Beverly, and he took a big 'ole swig!

IMG_0698.jpg

We know better, so we chose more wisely.

IMG_0700.jpg

Fortunately, Greg understood that we had to do it, and he forgave us… this time...

IMG_0701.jpg

Hee hee, Beverly. We had a strange experience with Beverly last year.

This is my nephew Joaquin drinking Beverly....
CIMG2434.jpg

and this is his reaction
CIMG2433.jpg

CIMG2432.jpg

What a little weirdo.

How funny. I don't think Beverly is bad bad (it's not good either) - it's just shocking if you're expecting something sweet.

And thanks for sticking with me.

After that fun little adventure, we headed to Soarin'

It was a better picture until this lady ran in front of us because I slowed down to take a picture. I’m pretty sure she just wanted a picture of her butt online, so I was happy to oblige

IMG_0702.jpg

Standby was only 25 minutes, so we hopped in line.

Me? Wait? You’ve got to be kidding me.

IMG_0705.jpg

Who’s idea was this?

IMG_0708.jpg

The games weren't working, which made me sad, I haven't seen them yet.

IMG_0710.jpg

You see… before phones, people would read these things called books… huh – suckers

IMG_0713.jpg

Is it just me, or is this the most boring line ever?

IMG_0714.jpg

Um… yes.. yes it is

IMG_0718.jpg

Point proven.

IMG_0719.jpg

IMG_0720.jpg

Seriously, there’s no theming at all. Such a bore

IMG_0721.jpg

yep – glad we’re in the line for Soarin’

IMG_0712.jpg

I seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

IMG_0723.jpg

OMG – can’t there be a mural or a prop or something?

IMG_0724.jpg

Ohh look a TV! We’ve hit the big time!

IMG_0727.jpg

After Soarin' we decided to give Living With The Land a whirl. (It’s okay Rachel – No Buffalo ahead! )

IMG_0729.jpg

This is a ride…about…um plants?

IMG_0730.jpg

How 80’s are the murals for this ride? Even this line is more interesting than the Soarin’ one

IMG_0731.jpg

Worst self-pic ever

IMG_0733.jpg

It had been a while since I rode Living With the Land, and I'd forgotten a bunch of stuff. It was kind of cool.

IMG_0736.jpg

IMG_0738.jpg

IMG_0739.jpg

I wonder if a fluted pumpkin tastes like a regular pumpkin?

IMG_0743.jpg

IMG_0744.jpg

IMG_0747.jpg

IMG_0748.jpg

Hmmmm could I get like a 30 lb Margarita to go with the 9 lb lemon? (I know, that’s lime, but the lemon is green and I can’t think of a drink with a lemon…)

IMG_0749.jpg

Look – A wall!

IMG_0750.jpg

Hydroponic-y goodness

IMG_0751.jpg

I found a “hidden” Mickey!

IMG_0753.jpg

It’s not the most exciting ride, but it’s a nice relaxing and interesting time killer.

Next, we headed to Captain EO. We tried to warn Greg of the cheesy 80's ness, but I don't think he was fully prepared for what lay within.

Warning cheesiness lies within

IMG_0755.jpg

How bad could it be?

IMG_0760.jpg

By the time the pre-show was over, I think he was starting to realize how high the cheese level is…

Cheese – in 3 D

IMG_0761.jpg

I am ready for this!

IMG_0764.jpg

As we exited he informed us that he understood the Beverly, and applauded us for our efforts there, but he would never forgive us for Captain EO. Of course I asked him if he wanted me to buy him a shirt.

:lmao: So did he want the shirt?

I have to say, I can't blame your DH for his initial reactions, he must have been soooo tired pulling a double shift like that. THat was a rotten thing for his employer to pull on him. I'm glad he ended up going & was able to sorta get caught up on his rest. You handled the situation beautifully motivating him to go afterall :cutie:

Looking forward to hearing more popcorn:: Your close up pic's crack me up :goodvibes

Oh my god, Soarin' is really the most boring line ever! That's why I never like to wait in it, I just get fastpasses. Your pictures are too funny though, because that's what happens when I get bored with a camera. :lmao:

Yay for an update! It sounds like we may have a lot of reading material over the next few days :)

That's a bummer about your breakfast.. At least everything looked good, I suppose!

I agree with you about the Soarin' queue. We always do fastpass so we don't have to wait in it. And in May, DBF and I noticed the queue for Living with the Land....so dated!

:lmao::lmao: I believe his words were - "if it doesn't have the magical powers what's the point. Actually, even if it has the magical powers - no" :rotfl:

I did feel so bad for DH, and it was frustrating, but it wasn't his fault. At least we've been going so much lately, that it's not like I felt the trip was ruined. But I did spend a lot of it without DH.

:lmao: That's what we do too! I don't think I've ever waited in the line before. It's just awful. I was so bored - especially since DH wasn't there so I felt 3rd wheel-y at times - not bad, just boring when all there was to look at were blank walls.

Yay for an update! It sounds like we may have a lot of reading material over the next few days :)

I'm going to try! I can't believe I slacked so much! I'm hoping to get at least 2 updates tonight - but I still have to pack (gulp!)

Breakfast wasn't bad, it just wasn't fantastic. I have high standards 'ya know

Yes, FP is the way to go on Soarin' - lesson learned!

At this point I called DH, but he wasn’t awake yet, and we were getting hungry, so we headed into the WS.

IMG_0764.jpg

IMG_0768.jpg

The first booth we came to was New Zealand.

Panic got the scallop

IMG_0769.jpg

Greg got the Lamb slider (I thought I took a picture – but I guess not.)

Next, we headed to Mexico for the Cava del Tequila, but it wasn't open yet, so we browsed around the pavilion for a while.

IMG_0772.jpg

IMG_0774.jpg

These skulls are pretty and kind of creepy.

IMG_0775.jpg

Our tequila plans were thwarted by a private event, so we headed out to continue our trek around the world.

IMG_0776.jpg

Next, we headed to the Poland Booth.

Panic got the strawberry balsamic drink. She declared it weird but tasty. I am seriously allergic to strawberries, so I can’t tell you what I thought…

IMG_0778.jpg

I got the perogie and kelbasa. We are polish, so although good, it just tasted like Easter to me.

IMG_0780.jpg

We wandered by Norway, but decided to skip it, and headed to China

IMG_0782.jpg

Next up was China.

IMG_0783.jpg

No I don’t know why I felt compelled to take a picture of this ginger – Livin’ with the Land withdrawl?

Pot stickers and Green Tea Plum Cooler – YUM!

IMG_0784.jpg

While in China, we ran into Mulan.

Then we headed into the store to look at all the fun stuff.

IMG_0790.jpg

I see my future and it’s bubbly!

IMG_0792.jpg

IMG_0793.jpg

I love love love these stone floral arrangements

IMG_0795.jpg

I found it hilarious that they had Japanese Mochi at the Chinese store.

IMG_0796.jpg

IMG_0797.jpg

IMG_0799.jpg

IMG_0800.jpg

IMG_0801.jpg

IMG_0802.jpg

IMG_0803.jpg

Afterwards, we stopped at the South Korea both and got wine and kept walking – we figured we'd make our way to France and then go back to the hotel to see if DH was still alive. SO we made it it the African Outpost, when I glanced over and paused, the guy at the table looked familiar.

Oh yeah, I'm married to him!

IMG_0804.jpg

Totally oblivious, he looked shocked when we sat down next to him

IMG_0806.jpg

Apparently he’d called and I missed it, so he grabbed a beer and decided to wait for us. How he knew we'd be walking through the African Outpost is beyond me - but hey it worked!

At this point Matt called to say the were in Epcot, so we waited for them and enjoyed our wine

IMG_0805.jpg

Finally, Matt and Rachel showed up

IMG_0809.jpg

So, with the group assembled, we stopped at the Brewer's collection.

IMG_0807.jpg

I'm not sure what everyone got. I can't drink beer, so I wasn't that interested. I just took pictures of our view instead.

IMG_0810.jpg

IMG_0813.jpg

IMG_0814.jpg

IMG_0816.jpg

Next, we headed to Germany.

There was a sausage on a pretzel roll with my name on it. Good – but really they can’t make bigger buns?

IMG_0817.jpg

You see, there’s a bun to sausage ratio, and then you have to factor in mustard, the equation goes like this…

IMG_0818.jpg

Next we headed to Italy where we got a fruit smoothie - so yummy I forgot to take a picture.

I noticed the gondolas that Rachel pointed out. Too bad they never made this a ride, It would have been so fun!

IMG_0819.jpg

Awww…so cute

IMG_0822.jpg

Next we headed to the United States for some Bison Chili (again – thought I had a picture)

And an heirloom tomato salad.

IMG_0825.jpg

Both good, but not great. At this point I was getting full and hot.

IMG_0827.jpg

Come stand under my umbrella-la-la

IMG_0828.jpg

Next we headed to Japan.

Yeah – we’re rock stars in Japan

IMG_0834.jpg

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh

IMG_0830.jpg

Bouncy!

IMG_0829.jpg

We walked around the store, and then got the Tuna Sensation

Mmmm….sensation-y

IMG_0831.jpg

DH got a beer

IMG_0835.jpg

I was in line for the bathroom in Japan and the person in front of me started talking to me - which in and of itself isn't bad… but she was like spilling her whole life story to me. It was really strange and slightly uncomfortable.

After that, we hopped on the boat and headed back to the future…

IMG_0836.jpg

Um….well, Future World at least.

First stop… Club cool to initiate our newest victims of course!

IMG_0837.jpg

IMG_0838.jpg

Mmmm Coke!
