WHat do you mean the golf cart isn't one of the park rides? My Aug 11-15 trip report

Despite my best efforts we ended up not making it to the park until 1100! The bus wait today was awful. DH kept muttering that the day before you could spit and hit an EPCOT bus today we waited 30 minutes or more! Then it took 20 minutes to get through bag check - a bit more thorough than AK.
We took off for the Land to pull Soarin fast passes - got 4:15 and then rode the Land since it was walk on at that point. Decided to go ahead and eat at Sunshine Seasons. DD had sweet and sour chicken - kids size and DH and I split a turkey sandwich - that thing was HUGE! I ate the side of potato salad that came with it - warm and vinegary - really good!
We did Journey to the Imagination next and DD played in the kid's area for a bit. My crew decided to ride Mission SPace - no line for the green side. DH rode the orange side last time and was sick for about three hours. They LOVED the green side and talked me into doing it. No I didn't get sick on this one either! Someone had though - the haz mat team was out cleaning a puke episode. DD and DH did The Sum of All Thrills while I went through the Green Idea HOuse. Another ice cream break followed and so did a thunderstorm.
Soarin was a blast except that I got setted next to some guy who had riden it WAY TOO MUCH and kept talking and going I LOVE the next part all the way through. I wanted to say "would ya please shut up for those of us who have never ridden before - you are ruining it!"
The Living Seas followed and a really hot and steamy trek to France to buy pastries. I tasted a lovely glass of French wine while we headed back to the front gates. FOund our pics on the wall from our previous trip and headed out to catch the bus. Thankfully it was a much quieter ride than the previous evening which included a toddler whose mom thought it was SO cute to let him screech over and over the ENTIRE trip back to the fort!
Caught the boat over to Wilderness Lodge since DH had declared we were eating at Whispering canyon Cafe. We had managed 7:30 ressies and arrived about 20 minutes ahead of schedule. We were entertained by our waiter Justis who totally charmed our daughter and made this dinner a highlight of our trip. DD did not remember eating there when we were there in 2005.
SHe was laughing so hard she cried when he started pushing her chair from table to table and introducing her since she told him she had not made any new friedns at Disney. SO - according to Justis we now have new "friends" to stay with in Great Britain and in Michigan. The folks from Michigan tried to trade us their 17 year old who according to dad ate too much and had college to be paid for next year! Saw Wishes on the boat trip back - a wonderful end to our park time this trip!

Reading that last TR it reminds ya that at not each and every resort do you see fireworks from the boat as you gently cruise back home. I wish the boats went everywhere from FW. 3 weeks till DCL :thumbsup2 and no fort trip in sight

Yes, serenitygr, that was what I meant.

Believe it or not, I did think carefully how to word that line before I finally settled on "communication skills". :rotfl2:

Honestly, the reason why it's funny is that to some degree or another that's been any of us at one point. Fortunately for me my two sons became excellant spotters (they know to stay where I can see them in my side mirrors).

Okay, libba, please continue. I'll shut up now. popcorn::

So funny. We jumped from tent camping to a 24" TT and our first trip was from CT. to Alaska. I would call ahead to campgrounds and BEG for a pull through.

Libba. did you see a set of grandparents pushing a stroller with young mixed race boy with braids heading to loop 1900? we were there same time as you plus more. grandson spent more time with us than his mom and brothers. we did not have enough money to rent golf cart this trip.
