What do you make for Christmas breakfast AND Christmas Dinner?

Christmas morning is usually potato rosti (pan fried swedish hash browns)and bratwurst sausage, fresh fruit and orange juice. Ohhh, now I am hungry!

Christmas Eve is all appetizers.
Strada for breakfast (probably the same as an egg and sausage bake) and cinnamon rolls.
Dinner varies. This year it's a ham that dh's employer gave him. Plus there's only going to be 4 of us (and maybe a friend or two of ds's). But I usually make a turkey or turkey breast. Some day when I won't mind braving the store the day or 2 before Christmas, I will make a prime rib. :rotfl2:

We make a breakfast casserole. I found a new recipe on pinterest this year, it has shredded hash browns, eggs, cheese, and sausage. We will also have cinammon rolls and fruit. This will be on Christmas Eve this year because DH has to work on Christmas Day. We will have our Christmas at home on Christmas Eve this year. The kids and I will go to the ILs as usual on Christmas. my husband will make Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve for us--ham, sweet potatoes, broccoli casserole, salad, asparagus, rolls and whatever else he wants to make.

We always have lasagne for Christmas Eve dinner. I just assemble it earlier in the day and then eat right before church that night.
Christmas morning I do steel cut oats in the crock pot overnight. In the hectic ness of the morning present frenzy, it is hot and waiting for us. So good! I get a lot of different toppings for different peoples' tastes ( nuts, raisins, bananas, brown sugar, etc)
we always have crab legs for Christmas dinner, somewhere along the way it has stuck as a tradition. Usually with red potatoes, green salad and "Yule log" for dessert. Now I'm getting hungry:)

Christmas breakfast is generally breakfast pizza, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee and mimosas!

Christmas dinner is ham, kielbasa, cheesy potatoes, corn casserole, sweet potatoes, jello salad, cake, pies and cookies.

For breakfast we always have pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and there is this diner that makes incredible cinnamon and cheese breads so we always get 1 of each of them.

For dinner we either do a pot roast or a turkey. We put it to a vote the weekend before lol

Are you in NJ? We know a diner that makes yummy cinnamon and cheese breads too

C. eve - after church we will have baked clams, shrimp fra diavolo and crab cakes

C. morning - spinach quiche and Pillsbury Cinnamon buns

C. dinner - at my inlaws whatever she's making and we will bring desserts.

I would like to travel to all your houses and eat!! Lol. Everything sounds delicious!

Christmas morning is usually Eggs Benedict. The traditional version with Black Forest ham or canadian bacon, poached eggs, toasted English muffin & home made hollandaise sauce. I serve it with fresh fruit & either potato casserole or oven roast potatoes.

The early morning table has a pot of coffee, cold juices, bagels with assorted cream cheeses and Cinnabon cinnamon buns.

Can you please post your new recipe? I am looking to try one with hash browns instead of bread this year. Thank you :)

Christmas Eve is usually whatever we decide at the last min.
Christmas morning I always make pineapple upside down biscuits, Canadian bacon and scrambled eggs.
Christmas dinner at the In-Laws is traditional Turkey or Ham, dressing, yams, green bean casserole, corn pudding, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs and various desserts including pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and usually a Watergate salad or banana pudding. I'm already full just typing this!

Thought I'd posted in this already, but it isnt showing up (so if there is some glitch and this is a double post, sorry)

Dinner on Christmas Eve--Paella

Breakfast-- Bagels with cream cheese, cucumbers, and lox. Fruit salad (all the fruit/nuts separate so everyone can make their own mix).

Dinner on Christmas--Prime rib

For breakfast I always make a French toast casserole/bread pudding dish and a ham. This is the first year me and DH will both be off for Christmas dinner so I'm still trying to figure that out

We have always made Breakfast Pizza for Christmas morning and have an Entenmann's crumb cake (tradition from when I was growing up). For Christmas this year we are doing simple as it's just my dh, dd and my parents..they requested Chicken, stuffing, and baked potatoes and veggies. Very simple - throw everything in the oven at once and done lol

Not sure what will be for breakfast dinner. Will probably just be something light. We have dinner on Disney property so need to save room for that :lmao:

Sure! I found it on Pinterest, so credit does not go to me :)

1 lb ham (I am using sausage)
12 eggs
24 oz frozen hashbrowns
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

Combine hashbrowns, ham and cheese in a large bowl. Put in 13x9 that has been sprayed with cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs milk, salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture over the hashbrown mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350.

Our extended family gets together Christmas Eve. So lunch is ham and all the fixings, dinner is going to be Lasagna. (trying to keep clean up to a minimum)

Christmas morning is just my family and parents so egg casserole and money bread.

Christmas day, extended family may come back over and we are having a turducken. Someone gave it to DH and he is so excited. I am excited because we are leaving the next day, so no leftovers! :lmao:

No problem! This is a Paula Deen recipe I have been making for years! Super fast and easy to make on Christmas morning and quite festive too! They actually taste exactly like pineapple upside down cake, without having to prepare a batter.

Ingredients
1 (10-ounce) can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, at room temperature
10 maraschino cherries
1 (12-ounce) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (10 count) * I've also used flakey butter tasting biscuits with good results too. :)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Grease 10 cups of a muffin tin. Strain the can of crushed pineapple, save juice for later. Combine the pineapple, sugar, and butter, and mix well. Divide the pineapple mixture among the muffin cups. Place a cherry in the center of each muffin cup, making sure cherry hits bottom of cup. Place 1 biscuit in each cup on top of sugar and pineapple mixture. Spoon 1 teaspoon reserved pineapple juice over each biscuit. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Cool for 2 minutes. Invert the pan onto a plate to release the biscuits. Serve warm.

My husband requests these every single year he loves them so much! Hope you enjoy them too!
