Excellent thread! Has anyone noticed the similarities in what everyone says about their first borns and seconds/thirds? I find birth order traits so fascinating. Anyone with an interest in this should check out Kevin Lemans (SP?) books on birth order.
I'm so proud of our daughters because they are living IN this world, they really get "it". They think they can do anything, so therefore, they CAN! They are so special in so many ways, I'm so proud to be their mother and can't wait to see what life has in store for them. DD #1 will make a big splash in this world - she was made to be in the spotlight. DD#2 will make her mark more quietly but equally as important to those around her. What joy they bring to our entire family.

In all seriousness, DD'S giggle and positive outlook, and her independance! She surprised us w/ that! DS marches to his own beat, and has a compassion for people that I learn from each day. I guess that sort of hits the nail on the head.. I love that they teach me and keep me grounded. That is something I never thought about when choosing to have kids. What a great bonus tho! I also can't live w/out the "squeezie-hugs" we have each day. Our motto is "Great kids make great parents" around here, and I truly believe it!
