What do you love about Paradise Pier Hotel?

We love the Standard View "Cabana Rooms" on 3rd floor. We've stayed with the Park View also, but really prefer having one of these rooms for the space and convenience.

I agree the cabana rooms are the best, but we haven't gotten one in several stays. They seem like the kind of thing that should be in their own (more expensive) category, but they are just considered standard view concierge rooms.

EMH, the park views, and that it's cheaper than the other two onsite hotels. I honestly enjoy the beachy feel, too. It might not be as thematically wonderful as the other two, but the decor is very familiar to me since I often take beach vacations and it just feels more family-friendly and less formal.

I read another thread that was just put up that people felt the CM's were not friendly, so I am happy to read here that there are great experiences at PPH. We have stayed only at GCH with our DVC points but this next trip we planned last minute and are staying at PPH. We are excited because we haven't stayed before. The only concern I have is the walk to and from the park. I love DTD so don't mind walking through. About how long does it take to get to the entrance? I also don't think it is that big of a deal to walk because if we stayed off property the walk would either be the same or way farther.

Any insider tips for PPH that will make it even more magical? Pixie dust ideas!

Does anyone know if PPH will accept letters from kids to Disney characters? We have done this before at GCH and at DLH.

We stayed at PPH in December and loved it!!! The rooms could easily fit 6 people and the view of DCA was amazing! Of all three hotels this was our favorite in terms of rooms (we haven’t stayed at the GCH since they have renovated it but have been in one when a friend was staying there). We didn’t use the pool because it was in December but IMO I don’t think anything beats the pool at the DLH. The only drawback was the location. When you have been in the park for 12 plus hours, it can feel like a very long walk. All in all it is definitely a hotel we would stay at again in a heart beat if the price is decent.
