What do you love about HH resort?

We just returned from a nice stay at HHI and I was wondering what you all love about it. :goodvibes

Never been there....Please tell me how you liked it...I have been thinking about doing a small HH add on.

We love the Campfires, Shadow's funny bunny hunts, and finding just the right hammock.. :teeth:

I actually love the fact that the resort is not right on the ocean. I love the way the resort is nestled in with all those beautiful oak trees. I feel like I have the best of both worlds at HH!

See my avatar for another reason to love HH! It is a picture taken on the fishing pier of the sun setting over Broad Creek.

OMG, not sure I can think of all the reasons we love HH... These are not necessarily in order of priority:

* the wonderful relaxing atmosphere of the resort itself

* sitting on my porch, enjoying the view, no matter which building I'm in

* "2 vacations in 1" -- beach house and resort have a totally different "feel"

* so much to do on HHI! golf, shopping, restaurants, sight-seeing

* the best Cast Members around. They go out the extra mile for us

I'm sure I'll think of many more as soon as I post this....

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Sitting on my balcony looking at this view.
And in a word-nature. I love that the resort is on the marsh, surrounded by trees, hammocks, birds, and dolphins (sometimes) in the water. I also love the small intimateness of Big Murgie's Den.

Great things-
Shady resort, removed from the ocean
Great pool and beach house at the ocean
the hammock-hadn't used one since I was a teenager
pool table in Murgie's Den with afternoon cookies and lemonade
petting Shadow and listening to B'lou Crabbe
playing horseshoes and shuffle board

And many good choices of restaurants on the island for dinner.

We just returned very early this morning for Hilton Head so this is easy.

We love how easy it is to sit back and relax. We haven't felt the need to do anything that we didn't want to do. Kicking back and doing nothing is perfect.

Our kids love to fish & crab. This was the most exciting part of our week. They were so thrilled with each and every thing they caught and have a couple fishing stories to tell of their own.

We also love the shark fishing & beach combing tours.

I loved taking my book and a couple of refreshments and sitting in the corner by the grills & circle parking lot by Shelter Cove, in the chairs there to read and watch the boats come in and go out. This is now my favorite spot.

We love to see what goes by in the creek. Dolphins are usually around as well as the birds. In fact, my DS11 & DH saw something yesterday afternoon that was definately not a dolphin but more along the lines of a manatee. We heard they have been spotted more frequently in the area, so in their minds, that's what they think they saw, whether it was a fact or not.
