What do you like to do with your Ipad . . . .

besides email and internet?

So far I have:

used the kindle and ibooks apps for reading
played scrabble and lexulous with my facebook friends
downloaded photos to the ipad

I would like to use the calendar but it seems like too much work to set up . . . .

What are your favorite things to do with your ipad?

Games, email, movies, photos (especially at WDW I can upload my photos directly to it from my camera instead of having to drag my laptop). I do use the calender all the time as I am always trying to keep track of kids, work & DH's schedule. Not to mention remembering to make ADR's at 180 days out . I do a fair amount of research on the go and have an ap for the ipad that I can then upload to the main version on my desktop when I get home. Various other aps I find handy for my life like organizations aps.

I am interested in hearing more about the "organizational aps" you mentioned.

I just found a free abc network ap. I don't watch much tv but might use this since I will be able to watch on my schedule w/o remembering to dvr.

You can set up a google calendar online and then sync it to your ipad. Instructions are under the google calendar help tab. We love, love love our calendar (which also syncs to our iphones).

We use it for navigation while driving when we are both in the car;
Watching movies, both those we have ripped from our collection, those rented from itunes and thsoe from netflix;
Visiting the Disboards and other message boards (not better than a computer, just more convenient);
Reading documents for work;
Searching travel deals on kayak (better than a computer becuas eit remembers your last search);
Remotely contorl our home computer while out of town; and
Anything you want to do quickly, without the start up time needed for most computers. -- Suzanne

I use mine for navagation, reading books and magazines and games lots of games Call of Duty Zombies (on line) and Angry birds are sooo addictive. I am still learning all the great things the IPad can do and look forward to new apps and TV shows.

I will look into the google calendar. I started setting up the calendar directly on the ipad last night - it was taking too long.

If I set up a google calendar - will that also sync with my ipod? I don't see me carrying my ipad on a daily basis - but I do take my ipod with me most days . . .

I also found a hgtv app - it has lots of shows that can be watched at any time. I wish other networks would do this. So far I have only found abc and hgtv.

I have the iPod touch and use Yahoo calendar. Super easy and it automatically syncs when I'm on wifi. I'm sure it's the same for the iPad.

Oh and I downloaded a wow wait time ap. It makes me feel better about not being there when I see Peter pan has a 90 minute wait

I use blogshelf to organize all bogs I follow, I use penultimate to take notes in meetings. I use it to find a parking place.

I don't have the 3G - just wifi. I plan to use it mostly at home anyway so no need for the 3G and the extra fee.

I found another cool app - Dragon Dictation - It lets me speak what I want to write - it can be used for anything where typing is necessary - email, notes, facebook, disboards, etc.

We have 3G, so that allows use to update whiel in the car. We just use the Maps app that comes with the iPad. I like the real time traffic info it provides. -- Suzanne

I use itunes to put my photos from my computer onto the ipad/itouch.

The camera kit will put photos on directly from the camera. If you are on vacation and only have the ipad this is great. Otherwise you would go from computer to ipad.

Thank you - I will only have my ipad on vacation so I went to the Apple Store today (after calling corporate to see if they accept my Union discount 0- they dont) and bought the camera kit so I can upload pictures while on vacation. Thank you for the explanation of how to upload them through itunes!

I just got on iPad on Black Friday, and I'm loving it. I'm amazed at the battery life, and it's so easy to hold, transport from room to room, etc.

I just bought the camera connection kit a couple of days ago at Sam's, and I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'm sure it will come in super handy when we go on vacation.
