What do YOU like to do when it's stormy or raining outside?

I put on my headphones and blast my country music to tune out the noise of the storm. Then I curl up in my bed and sleep, or do homework, or lately, just chill, because I've been too lazy, and exhausted to do any homework.
I don't really like thunderstorms but we've sure seen a few around here lately. Never seen a tornado in my life and I would not be upset if things stayed that way.

I like to get a WDW Guide Book or any good book and curl up in bed or my recliner and read along with a good cup of coffee and one of my kitties on my lap...

LOL. Nope. I live on the side of a mountain and there's a lake across the street. I think I'm pretty safe here, since those are big tornado killers. At least that's what I've heard.

there are no tornados by the seacoast either. Or the lakes region.....i live in both

Unless it's raining too hard and I get wet, I love to sit on the porch and watch the lightening =)

Whenever I'm home and it's either raining or very stormy, I love to curl up on the couch with a book then eventually take a nice hot bath with candles and the windows open. I may go do that now since it's still raining outside

I would be careful taking a bath if there is lightening! We were never allowed to take baths/showers with lightening when we were little and I still don't to this day.

Storms make me nervous so I try to do something distracting!

I LOVE writing when its storming lightly outside....for some reason, I feel more creative listening to the pitter patter of the rain...so soothing, i guess its because it relaxes my mind...

Now crazy bad storms like we've had recently...well I like to quiver in the corner with a flashlight in hand

We had pouring rain this afternoon....yeaaaaa! I got on the highway to head over to the mall a town over to exchange curtains (they were noticably different in length...what's with that?) I drove as far as the next exit, got off, and went home. Way to rainy...curtains can wait. We came home, I took a snooze on the sofa. Nice! Too many three a.m. nights. Hmmm...I see I'm headed for that again tonight!

We moved to SC from Detroit about 19 years ago. Some of the southern "folklore" is quite amusing..

One woman I used to work with said that dogs attract lightning and that is why they are afraid of it! ....She also said that is comes in through the windows... So keep your dog away from the windows when it is storming out, y'all!!!

It can come through the windows. My great grandmother was struck-and survived when it came through her windows.
The dog thing is funny though. I've never heard that one.
