What do YOU like to do when it's stormy or raining outside?

Ahh...the rain season has FINALLY arrived here in Orlando. We had a pretty massive thunderstorm today that spawned a tornado in Osceola County when I was leaving work. THAT was a little bit scary. But, I love the dark grey skies, the thunder, and that torrential rain we get

Whenever I'm home and it's either raining or very stormy, I love to curl up on the couch with a book then eventually take a nice hot bath with candles and the windows open. I may go do that now since it's still raining outside

What do YOU like to do??

We get rain so infrequently here, that I love to just watch out the windows! It sounds sick, but I want severe weather to roll through! I'm a wacko!

TV time is everytime for me. So TV. Or the computer, but If there's lightning i will shut it off.


I save the books for the bathroom.

if its a really wet sloppy day with lots of rain i tend to cook ,, comfort foods and eat , if its really stormy, thunderstorms ,, ew'll wat ch the tv and hang in lr ,, if its really bad,, we cuddle in dw's clostet with battery powered radio and our emergency prep kit handy,,

i know i know, but I don't like reading like on a couch. IMO, unfortunately, the couch is for video games and tv.


but i do read a lot. and NOT ALL OF IT is in the bathroom.

I like to storm watch. While in the early days of dating DH I dragged him to a place on the river that had outdoor dining. The storm was so bad, no one was out there--except us. We stayed dry under the awning over the deck adn got to watch a beautiful storm over the river. No, they did not serve us outside! We just took a couple of drinks out there and had dinner when the storm was over.

Well,

since we've had over 6" of rain here recently, I've had a chance to find out!

Cleaning, cooking, computer. One night I gave dog a bath outside in the rain. He was reeking (rolled in stuff) and I put his dog tub outside and cleaned him up, LOL.

It's a good time to spring clean, too.

I usually just watch TV, storms don't scare me unless they seem like a tornado coming. Or hail. But.....Opie, our 100 lb Yellow Lab just freaks out when it is thundering. Scares him to death, so he just sits around and pants and looks worried. So that is annoying, because he somehow thinks that I can protect him so he sits right next to me with that bad breath just panting away. Then if it is after bedtime, I have the added pleasure of DS4 waking up crying, but for some reason he will be ok if he just goes into my walk in closet to sleep. So storms aren't really a time of relaxing for me..

LOL! I can totally relate! We have a golden retriever/husky mix that never used to bark...until there was a thunder storm! He is so docile, but freaks out when it is stormy! It now doesn't bother him...he's gone deaf in his old age, and can't hear the thunder!

I LOVE Rain and thunderstorms (now tornadoes? I can do without! ) My favorite thing to do during a rainy evening or thunderstorm...... a bottle of wine, a little jazz music and either a good book or a good conversation. Aaaah, relaxation!

If their is no lightning, I go out and dance and walk around in it. If their is lightning then I do toning exercises so I'll look even sexier dancing in the rain after the lightning stops.
