What do you like to do on your arrival day?

We usually get to our resort around 1-2. We decorate our windows, freshen up from the early flight and head DTD. We shop, eat and just relax. I feel like being at DTD gives me the Disney evironment without being at a park that first night. We usually stay 12-14 days so we have lots of time to hit the parks! After some shopping and of course ice cream-we head back to the resort for an early night.
I think the plans are different for us because we don't have children joining us. Our trips are mother/daughter ones! And we both claim to be adults..:thumbsup2

We shop DTD and eat at the T-Rex. We may not get a full meal either. We like to get the Chocolate Extinction though to start the trip off right. DS gets a few of the Pressed Penny books so we have them ready to go and gets some of the pennies (not all) and gets started on his collection. (He is working his way to have them all someday). Then we go to the Lego store, look around, take some pictures with the sculptures. We scope out Goofy's Candy Co and what we will want to come back for. We also look at the deals (buy so much, get this at a discount) b/c it is not the same at every store.

This year we might even try to do late entry to Disney Quest to really get things off to a start. My son doesn't require much sleep though, so for us, it's not really an issue.

We get in from Seattle at 7am on Thursday morning. Our plan is to check-in at Beach Club Villas, and if our room is ready and we are tired, we will take a nap. If we get in and it isn't ready (probably won't be), we will stroll over to Boardwalk Bakery probably for some breakfast, then walk over to Epcot until we hear our room is ready. After that, maybe a nap, then heading to the monorail to do our traditional monorail resort tour that we do on our first day.

After that, we have an ADR for Crystal Palace so we will head to MK for the afternoon/evening until it closes. Back to our room, and maybe some night swimming! Theeeen we will probably go to bed at a decent hour so we are ready for Day 2. :)

We usually arrive early, around 7 a.m., check in and hit rope drop at one of the parks. The last couple of times, especially our last trip, it's been hard on us doing that. Our room hasn't been ready until way on up in the day and we are usually super tired. I think this time we are going to try to get to POR about 10:30 or so, check in and do lucnch at the resort. Then depending on how we feel we may just hang at the pool until our room is ready or maybe hit a park for a couple of hours before our dinner ADR.

I don't have really little ones anymore, DS is 8 now, and DD is 17. We generally arrive on property around 1:00 in the afternoon. We check in, and hit up the food court at the resort for lunch.

After lunch, we move the car as close to our room as possible, carry in the luggage, and put our stuff away. Once the room is set, we usually take a walk around the resort (POR) then hop on the boat and go to DTD for a little quick look through the shops, and supper.

That first night is usually an early night for us. Supper is typically between 5:00 and 6:00 and as soon as we are done eating, we take the boat back to POR and settle down for the night.

We always catch the first flight out of Philadelphia and are in Orlando by 9:30 am at the latest.

We get our luggage & rental car and drive to The Dolphin. We check in and are always lucky that our room is ready. :cool1:

We go to the room, unpack very quickly, freshen up and walk to EPCOT where we always have a reservation at Via Napoli. Our Margherita pizza is the wonderful start to our vacation!

We stay at EPCOT and then walk back to The Dolphin.

This is our first trip to WDW.:yay: We fly in around 2:30. So after we check in to POR, we will relax and explore the resort. We'll take the boat to DTD to explore the shops and then we have ADR's at the T-Rex Cafe at 7pm. We weren't planning on getting tickets for this day to the parks. We have 5 day park tickets. Our other 2 days are just travel days.

:cutie::cutie:I try to get a flight so we can arrive in Orlando in early afternoon (sometimes that's hard from Albuquerque). After we check in and get our Stars and Stripes tickets, we walk to the Poly and catch a bus to Downtown Disney. We always eat at the Earl of Sandwich. Then, we shop and go to Disney Quest.

We usually arrive before lunch, so after check-in, we head to DTD. Then MK for the first night!!!!!! Have to see that castle!!!

I depends on when we arrive. On our pas trips we've gotten in early enough to head to a park or DTD. This time we will fly down after picking the kids up early from school. I'm guessing that with ME we'll get to POR around 5pm. We'll probably just swim, eat at the food court, and maybe check out Yee Ha Bob.

We drive down and stay at BWV most trips. We plan it to arrive late morning early afternoon. We check in and go to the room to drop our stuff if it's ready early then head over to Epcot. If the room isn't ready then we just head to Epcot and come back around check in then go back to Epcot.

This trip we're meeting my family and do things a little different. We are camping at FW for two nights before meeting them at BWV. And this time we will be arriving late (8:00-10:00PM). So we are just going to set up the tent and grab some dinner. The next day we are just going to relax around the Fort and not do any parks. The day after that we will meet my family at BWV in the morning and head to a park.

We usually like going to a park right away, but we don't have kids. Though as a kid we did that too. We were too excited to wait!

Our arrival days are usually later (due to flying down from western-ish canada) so we really only have time for Dinner at DTD, or quick dinner at the hotel and then some shopping at DTD.

Although depending on the airline, when we go in Sept, we may be arriving early afternoon, in which case we'll just be exploring the resort (we're staying AKL this time!!) I think it all really depends on what time you get there. I like saving the parks for a full day, starting with MK ropedrop!
