What do you leave in your stroller at the parks?

We had our stroller stolen at an apple orchard a few years ago. With the newest baby we bought that same lock and plan on using it when we go to WDW. It's worked great so far and I do like you said with locking it through two wheels and the frame. Never would have thought our stroller would be stolen at an apple orchard but you never know, better to be safe than sorry.
just remember to only lock front or rear wheels not one of each or you could come back to find your lock cut off. did see security cutting a lock on a stroller that could not be moved by a CM

I have used that one in my daycare years. have not seen in years but has been awhile since I looked but try and find something like a weekly pill box that is for formula so you only have to carry enough powder for the days bottles you need. that way you dont take a chance on something happening to whole container.
We usually fill bottles with the amount we need but we could do something like that too. We’ll figure something out so we don’t have to bring the entire can. We may not even need formula hopefully!

We leave almost everything in the stroller except wallets and cellphones (although there were times I forgot to grab my wallet or cellphone and left it there). We have left in the stroller ponchos, snacks, diapers, wipes, wet/dry bag, any purchases we made, fans, baby carrier if I’m not using it, jackets or extra clothes, blankets, small toys, popcorn buckets, and probably other things we randomly throw in the stroller. We’ve never had any issues with anything being stolen and I tend to park the stroller in one spot and leave it for awhile. One time we thought our wet/dry bag with diapers/wipes/and small toy in it had been taken. It turns out when I tossed it in the bottom of the stroller when we parked it, I missed the stroller. We went back to the spot we parked the stroller like 30 minutes later and it was just sitting on the ground.

From 1997 through 2012 we left backpack, bags with souvenirs, everything except wallet and phones, in our strollers, and nothing ever got taken. Maybe we were lucky.

This was us too from 2000 to 2006 we thought nothing of leaving purchases in our stroller. Everyone did back then; we were all in our happy place and wouldn't dream of stealing someone else's things. :goodvibes :cloud9: :grouphug:

On our next trip, we will not have a stroller. Everyone will be old enough to walk everywhere.

We have had some sort of stroller on our three trips (umbrella or jogger).
On our last trip, we took our backpack (functions as both a diaper bag and a purse), which had extra battery packs, cords, wallets, diapers, wipes, change of clothing, medicines that we need, etc. Basically, just about everything was in the backpack, and it went on all rides with us.
We did bring a small, soft-sided cooler with us on our last trip since it was July. I packed water bottles and ziplock bags filled with ice. (This allowed us to hydrate without having to stand in line when we were between meals.) I also brought a drink tumbler and ponchos. I kept ponchos, the tumbler, and cooler in the stroller basket. I put an older poncho over the stroller to keep things relatively dry.

Thank you! That sounds a lot like what we will do. Our diaper bag is a backpack style and we’ll most likely take that with us everywhere but leave things like umbrellas and fans in the stroller

I have a diaper bag that hangs across the back of the stroller. I leave everything that I would usually have in a diaper bag in that bag on the stroller - so nothing like wallets/cameras/phones, jut kid stuff. But I did take a lot of kid stuff lol. Honestly the most expensive thing was the Diaper Bag itself. The problem is a thief doesn't know that - they might think the mother load of stuff is in there! What I do is buy the locking stroller hooks, and lock the strap of the diaper bag to the stroller itself. This doesn't stop someone from going through the bag and taking stuff out of it, but it does stop someone from just grabbing the bag and running with it. I kind of figure 99% of theft of a bag is impulse since it's easy to grab, so if it's locked and someone can't just causally grab it on the way by they won't. I also do this with things like purchases. I hang the disney plastic store bags from a locking stroller hook. Yes, someone could still steal our new Disney stuff, but it wouldn't be nearly as easy so I'm hoping that stops pretty much everyone from that impulse theft! I wouldn't leave really expensive purchases that way, but I do for the general things we buy and don't have sent to the room (when you could do that). When we first had strollers I bought one of those buggy locks to lock wheels together, and never used it! It just seemed like too much bother to do at each stop, we were always rushing somewhere in a hurry, it was hot, etc so I gave up on that. We've had multiple trips a year using strollers since 2009, and haven't had anything taken - including the time I accidentally left my phone in the cupholder. I was sweating until we got back to the stroller once I realized I had done that. I was lucky that time.

As an aside - @Haley R (I don't know if that worked to tag you!) didn't you used to post a lot about Galaxy's edge and maybe the AP previews? I think I remember your name, and I think I actually saw you there based on your profile picture back then. Did you go to the very first one at the 8 AM time slot? Now you have a baby, how things have changed, haha! I'll bet your touring is different now. I haven't been on the boards much in a year, but I think I remember your user name, back then we used to be on a lot of the same threads IIRC.

Haha yes I did go to one of the first AP previews. I’m not on too many threads anymore since we haven’t been going many places. We did our pregnancy announcement pictures at the preview. He’s 10 months old tomorrow!

When my daughter had to have a stroller we never left anything of value, camera's wallets etc. Also, please know that the CM's move the strollers to another area all the time so be sure you have your stroller labeled some way that you can find it quickly. Any food you have, put it in something that the squirrels can't gain access to as they will dig into plastic bags.

My children are grown now, but friends of ours had their entire stroller stolen. It was their personal stroller from home, not a rented one. We actually found the people with it later in the day and had to argue with them to return it. They swore it was theirs. When we finally got it back, they had gone into all the snacks that were in a bag. So definitely do not leave anything valuable in your stroller.
