DH did the 8 lap experience two years ago, I think that's the Rookie Experience. Umm, did he like it? Well, if you do it in the morning, don't plan anything important for the rest of the day. DH skipped around with a grin on his face all afternoon, alternating between calling everyone he knew (and a few people he didn't, I think!) to tell then about it and asking me again, "Did I tell you that I enjoyed that?" If we'd tried to do anything, he wouldn't have remembered it. And DH is normally a very calm person who doesn't show much emotion. Yes, there's a pace car, but as they tell you, most of the problem is with people not keeping up with the pace car, hardly ever does anyone try to go any faster (actually, I've never heard of that happening). It's not as easy as it looks, but it sure is fun! Just realize that your DH has to be able to drive a standard transmission, and that he'll have to climb thru the window to get in the car (it was OK for DH, but I'm not sure I could be that "limber").
