What do you know about Plaza?

SHUSH!!! Stop telling people about the great sandwiches and terrific ice cream desserts at the Plaza or more people will want to eat there. I already have my PS for June. Last trip, we went to MK just to eat their sundaes, while everyone else was watching the parade, we had a great afternoon snack.

We love the Plaza, and we always make a priority seating. They have great sandwiches, a wonderful strawberry and grilled chicken salad, sometimes made with pears. My DS says they have the best grilled cheese in WDW. Great shakes. :earsgirl:

They have the most AWESOME grilled chicken and strawberry salad...it is amazing!

I never hear much about the Plaza Restaurant--I checked out the menu, cheap by Disney standards. Has anyone eaten there? Let me know your good and bad experiences, please!

Thanks!

We enjoy the Plaza for lunch. The chicken breast sandwhich was huge and the club sandwhich is out of this world. The burgers and milkshakes are also good and you get the 20% DDE discount here also. A hidden gem in our opinion.

I'm glad to see this thread because we have thought about eating here on our next trip. The Passporter says that this is one restaurant that doesn't require priority seating. What does everyone think? If we don't eat at peak dining hours, do you think we could get in without a ps? My family doesn't like to be tied down with ps's, so I'm always looking for viable options besides counter service.

I had lunch there over the Easter week (peak) without a PS. When I saw the line I thought I should have made one but they were able to accomodate me. I must add though it was just DD and myself so that made it easier for them to fit us in. In a slower season I think you'd be OK.
Enjoy!

Where is the plaza located?

If you are walking up Main Street towards the castle the Plaza is at the end of the Main Street shops on your right.

It is a great place to eat before or after Spectromagic. I would compare the food to Beaches and Cream, but they do not have the soda fountain bar. We almost always plan a meal there because it is much nicer than a counter service with food that is not too expensive compared to other MK sit-downs at night. We love the sanwhiches and the service has always been good and cheerful.

We had a great club sandwich that came with german potato salad and ice cream sundaes. My aunt also enjoyed the soup.

Ditto here. That club sandwich is excellent and the German potato salad was the perfect side. Everything we've had here has been very tasty.

We enjoy the Plaza too. The reuben and burgers are very good. It is a pleasant place for lunch or a light dinner. A great respite from the park for little more than you would pay for counter service.
