What do you Keep Missing?

I don't think you are missing anything at Downtown Disney, but I am not a shopper. If you like to shop, you will like Downtown Disney.

One thing I have never did but always plan to is the Indiana Jones show. We always go during the summer and the thought of sitting out in the heat changes my mind once we are in the park.

I don't know if this is strange or not but....

We are coming up on our third trip and we never go to Downtown Disney. I've been told it's just shopping and restaurants. I know they're good restaurants, but I don't really want to take time out of the parks to go eat somewhere else. Is there anything else there we are missing?

We stay at Lake Buena Vista, so we spend a lot of time at Downtown Disney. Your missing the biggest Disney store in the world and some really good places to eat. When you've eaten a million burgers and chicken nuggets in the park and on the go, a proper meal where your washed and dressed up a bit is heaven. Raglan Road is the best restaurant there in my opinion. Best Sticky Toffee Pudding I have ever tasted.

We had thought that too, but on a particularly hot day, we just needed a seat, so we got a frozen lemonade, popcorn and headed inside. The air conditioning is actually quite good, unlike Beauty and the Beast and we left feeling totally refreshed and ready to go face the rest of the park. The show is really good too, I would recommend it.

Disney Quest, La Nouba and the Balloon Launch are all in DTD

The dole whip. I want to try one but once one party in my family yells snack it becomes stop immediately no matter where we are so it hasn't happened yet.

Things I accidentally experienced-Liberty bell, and COP-why doesn't this have warning signs that if you get in you will be stuck-I thought we were going on the people mover.

4 years in a row and 2 trips last summer and we still have yet to see Fantasmic! I plan to get it in our our first night this next trip!

Dh took us to DHS yesterday just to see Fantasmic! We've never managed to make it and is at the top of my "things we need to do before the passes expire" list. We did TSM a couple times and Star Tours for the first time. Then.. Off to MK. We never made it back for the show. I can't think of enough to keep the kids entertained for a full day at DHS. This has now been pushed off again. I'm hoping to make an evening just for the show in May. I hope it works out this time!! Good luck to you on seeing it!!

We have never seen Fantasmic! but I think that is because we usually try to avoid going to DHS on a Fantasmic! night so that we can enjoy lower crowds. I would like to try to hop over one night to see it on our next trip though, since we never have and I think my ds is old enough to not be afraid of it now.

Hi Sewer! We always miss the finding nemo show and I have never been on test track.

I haven't been on the Liberty Belle since I was a kid--I found it rather underwhelming even then so I haven't repeated it. :lmao: I do enjoy the Hall of Presidents. On our last trip, I had some time on my own and went through One Man's Dream--I thought it was really cool. And Journey into Imagination is one of my favorites. :thumbsup2

Oddly, I've never seen Fantasmic at WDW but I've seen it at DL. Every time I try, it rains buckets and gets cancelled. I've kind of just come to terms with the fact that I should just stop trying. :lmao: I feel like I'm ruining it for all the other people that try to see it on the night I've chosen.

OH! So thaaaats why I didnt get to see it my last trip.
:)

I have been to WDW many many times- and for some reason I have never caught the Enchanted Tiki Room! ha! We also keep missing LMA at DHS- it always rains when we want to see it!

There are quite a few things I skip on purpose, but the one thing I keep meaning to do but never have is see IllumiNations! Things just keep popping up. First trip as adults we had a front and center seat at the CS in Mexico, but around 8:30 started feeling quite sick and had to leave. Second time we had 7 pm ressies at Le Cellier with plans to catch it afterward, but they were so backed up on their ADRs and then service was so slow that mid-way through our entrees we could hear "boom, boom!" from outside. Bummer... And so on, and so on. Here's hoping for 2011 :thumbsup2

How old is your DD? :)

We always joke on the way home from our trips..."How did we miss ____ again?)

This summer will be our tenth vacation as a family and we still have never done:

Indiana Jones
Festival of the Lion King
Most of the animal/conservation sections of AK

WOW - I really thought there would be more. Now I could also make a list of things we haven't done since our oldest was a toddler and the two younger kids have never done. I guess the above list just counts for my husband and I.
