During our last trip, we had all the characters sign the kids Mickey Ear hats (brought a silver sharpie with us!)& The year before we had them sign baseballs& I'd like to find something unique to have them sign that the kids can keep on display in their rooms. Any suggestions?

We had them sign a canvas tote bag. I sewed a Mickey head on one side and her initial on the other. My DD uses it for her library books. :)

We did an embroidered pillowcase last year. It's really cute, but was a big pain to carry. Not the case itself, but we had to have something hard for the characters to write on. Plus it rained, a lot!! I'm glad we have it now, but I won't be doing it again!!

standard autograph book from WDW, personalized autograph book, pillow case with colored markers, and red and yellow 9x11 panels for my quilt. Not sure what I will do for my next trip. Need to think of something different.

We asked them sign two 11* 14 photo mattes with different colored markers. We then made 8*10 pictures and framed the whole thing. I am really glad we did this. I like looking at the pictures and the signatures every day.

Here's a question, can you have them sign multiple items? I know they would probably sign each kid's autograph book, but I've considered doing a combination of a couple of items, like panels for a quilt and a photo matte. I assume you can, but I would like to double check.

Are you asking if a character will sign a book and a panel and a matte per child?

Two kids come up with an autograph book each. I assume the character would sign both of them.

I go up with just my daughter, who will be just 20 months. Would the character sign both a photo matte and a quilt square, handed to them by myself, or would they only sign one of the two?

I just don't know what the restrictions or limitations would be for how much or what they would sign.

I honestly don't know the rules, but in my opinion you have 1 item person so it shouldn't be an issue.

I suggest using a clipboard. Gives a sturdy writing surface. Maybe bring extra clips to tighten the quilt panel?

For fabric items Minnie taught us how to sign it one year (we were doing a tshirt). She instructed DH and I to pull it taut and she signed. It worked great and we did not have to carry a clipboard or anything.

Love the idea of the photo mats. Thank you going to get one today. So many great tips from this forum.

Love the photo mat idea too! My sil and bil are heading to Disney for the first time with their kids and they were just asking about autographs! I usually make my own little books, never thought of something like that! Much more useful later and a nice keepsake to have in their rooms!

We are goign to get photo matts as well. I think it would be a great way to see the signatures year round instead of just when you open a scrapbook

The best by far has been the 9' Mickey vinylmation ( we call him Mickey Man at home) it is white and we used a black sharpie no problems with smudging or anything. We have also done pillowcases and made our own books. The books were ok the first couple trips, but the pillowcases were kind of a pain. The girls love them now but they aren't the easiest things to get signed. I would love to do the Disney Jr Encyclopedia of characters but the only books I have found are WAY to expensive to order off amazon, or eBay...
