What do you have on your pancakes??

Amazing Ionly had 4 pancakes today, I usually have about 20, i have maple syrup and lemon and sugar on them, nothing nicer if you ask me.

I had mine bare!

I know I'm strange - I don't have milk on my cereal either!

we had maple syrup and toffee sauce!! Yummy! :flower:

My DMIL made them for us, but instead of pancakes she made waffles (i dont care for english pancakes they taste funny to me) and they were brill with whiped topping and choc or raspberry sauce I got allot of stick from Rhys and his dad lol

I had some mates over and I served my pancakes with bananas cooked in rum, brown sugar and butter and then poured toffee sauce over them and served with home-made ice cream - they felt very spolit - I must admit they were pretty scrum :)

:guilty: I forgot about pancake day and Tescos have sold out of ready mix today! :sad1: They didnt even have any aunt bessies left, oh well I guess i'll just have to compensate with chocolate icecream.

I don't have milk on my cereal either, we can be stange together! :flower:

I tried golden syrup on mine and it was disguesting, far too sickly! Mixing some ground ginger in with the mixture before frying was interesting, couldn't decide if I liked it!!!! The best was easily the plain sugar or sugar and cocoa powder mixture ones!

I'm still recovering from pancake over-dose!

As DW was out at Brownies on Tuesday, I volanteered to make the batter for when she returned :)

I got the recipe book that I usually use for pancakes and found that lasy year I must have spilt batter on the pnacake recipe page and so they were all stuck together and unreadable

So I got another book (DW collects cookery books and has hundreds of them!). The recipe said 100 grams of flour, 1 egg and 1/2 pint of milk. Umm. I thought - that doesn't sound very much! So I did 4 times the amount :)
It took ages to mix up - especially as it almost filled the mixing bowl LOL

DW nearly died when she saw the vast amount of batter I'd made :)
