I'm really bored with my breakfast. Just wondering what everyone else has for breakfast. I want to start eating healthier and I'm kinda stumped at breakfast.

Right now I usually have Coffee and cereal or oatmeal. Occasionally I'll mix it up and throw in some type of fresh fruit. Once in a while its just toast & peanut butter.

I used to be one of those people that never ate breakfast but lately I've found that if I dont have breakfast I end up feeling Nauseous and then eating junk food popcorn::.

I'm a pretty boring breakfast eater- I eat Grapenuts cereal and orange juice. :laughing:

Today I had waffles.. but my breakfast usually varies greatly over the week. Anything from soup to pizza, eggs, fruit. Mostly stuff that's quick and easy.

I'm pretty boring with my breakfast ... I usually have plain oatmeal (sometimes I add raisins to it -- I know real fancy :laughing:) ... but since I'm becoming really bored with that, I've been buying the instant oatmeal in different flavors (I know, I'm a real risk taker too :laughing:) ... but I also have been switching things up by having yogurt for breakfast instead of oatmeal ... :)

I alternate between yogurt with granola and fruit, oatmeal, and a piece of toast and hard boiled egg. I am getting kind of tired of my choices to so I'm interested to see if anyone else has some good ideas for breakfast. :thumbsup2

I am not a breakfast person but lately I've been trying to eat something. Usually it is just an apple with my coffee. I used to eat peach yogurt but I've been on a diet the past two months so haven't been eating any yogurt lately.

I eat egg whites, with a slice of cheddar cheese, I used to add red and green peppers and sometimes ham to that, but I no longer eat those items. I eat it with either light oatmeal toast or pita bread

Every morning I have a golean bar (peanut butter & chocolare - yum) and a cup of coffee...

I take my breakfast to work, so it's usually portable and doesn't require cooking.

Instant Oatmeal (using hot water from the water cooler)
English muffin with either butter or peanut butter and jam
Bagel with either butter or cream cheese
yogurt and a cereal bar (Nutri-grain or granola)

I try to have a piece of fresh fruit a couple of hours after eating oatmeal or an English muffin.

This morning I had a bowl of chocolate cheerios (yummy) and a glass of low-fat milk.

I have corn flakes (plain) with a banana sliced over it and skim milk.

During the week I will usually have some Trader Joe's Oatmeal (less sugar then most standard brands) along with either a Cliff Bar or a Casein protein shake.

On the weekends sometimes I do a bowl of Non-fat yogurt, granola, and fruit.

I always have a tall glass of water because you dehydrate while you sleep.

I get in ruts. I am in a "peanut butter on 12 grain toast and a Coke" rut right now. Had a slice of cheddar cheese with it, too. I love cheddar and peanut butter together.

Lately I've been having either whole wheat toast or a whole wheat eng. muffin slathered in butter. (Yeah yeah I know) I also like them topped w/ either PB and honey, or melted cheese.

I usually add a piece of fruit, or have one mid morning for a snack, too.

Hard boiled eggs are a favorite in our house.

Other common bfasts for me are oatmeal w/ PB, rasin bran/honey bunches of oats mixed w/ 1% milk, and leftover pizza. :)

During the week I usually have Kashi Oatmeal, an English Muffin with PB or Egg and Cheese on an English Muffin. Weekends usually a bowl of cereal.

My family LOVES steel cut oatmeal.

You set it up in the crock pot at night, and in the morning you have a yummy hot breakfast! I'll post the recipe below. It is an Alton Brown recipe, but we change it up. We don't add the cranberries and figs, or any other dried fruit, just because we don't like the consistency of the fruit when it is cooked all night. We add dried fruit and brown sugar to our bowls right before we eat it! I also cook it about 7 hours. 8 seems to be too long in our crock pot, but they are all different. We also double it because we have a big crock pot and it keeps in the fridge for a few days. I just add milk and slowly re-heat it in the microwave. So good!

Ingredients

* 1 cup steel cut oats
* 1 cup dried cranberries
* 1 cup dried figs
* 4 cups water
* 1/2 cup half-and-half

Directions

In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients and set to low heat. Cover and let cook for 8 to 9 hours.

Stir and remove to serving bowls. This method works best if started before you go to bed. This way your oatmeal will be finished by morning.

I have a bowl of cereal and milk, usually with some OJ. If I'm in a hurry and have to eat on the go, I have an english muffin with PB.

Sometimes I'll make a quiche the day before and have a slice of that with some fruit and coffee.
