What do you Hate Most about Going to the Doctor's

Well, well. I thought I was the only one who had these fears. I always worry that I have an incurable illness that they will find! But, now I realize that everyone sitting in the waiting room with me has fears.

Let's see... We live in a small town now and my dh works with the medical center (IT) so virtually everybody knows him. "Oh! Your ___'s wife!"
Then there's the nice part where my gynecologist is my neighbor. Thankfully she's a female. It makes it easier somehow.

scale!
but I hate it that I have to take my clothes off & he doesn't!

OMG! I hope my DH doesn't read this!
LMAO!!!!!

The scale is the thing I hate most. Second most I hate the wait. I never get in on time. I usually wait 1 1/2 to 2 hours at least.

I also hate when they put me in the treatment room and then make me wait even longer. Just leave me in the waiting room until the doctor is actually ready to see me. How long do you think it takes me to put on a paper gown?

the scale
the wait
the bill
lousy magazines
kiddy shows on the tv
feeling like a trained animal at some offices
being seen as a kid when i'm a young woman

I don't like it when they don't want to refer you to another Doc who might know more of a specific ailment or condition.

1. The wait (ditto what nativetxn said). Seeing the doctor at the threshold of your treatment room door, handle in hand (after a long wait) and then get pulled away for another 20 minutes by someone that is in a hurry.
2. Getting me confused with another patient.
3. Staff telling me incorrect information, while calling me by name, chart in hand! (tests done --- that were not, tests that need to be done that do not, UGH.)

Just the other day, I had the front desk lady tell me I had a $20 dollar outstanding bill and that she was just going to add it to my co-pay! I asked what would the $20 be for? Totally incorrect. Owed zero.

These things are with different doctors, dentists, & staff. Good people but annoying things happen. UGH!!
