What Do You Hate About Autumn?

Allergies. Mine seem to be the worst in early fall and wish they would just go away.

I do love the fact that they temps get cool enough to enjoy bonfires and I get to wear my warm comfortable hoodies again. I also love that Halloween is not to far away and seeing the decorations that go along with that.

I just hate the fact that it is NOT SUMMER!!! I LOVE SUMMER...and hate to see it end. Though, its been in the high 80's the last few days, so although fall is approaching..soon...it still feels like summer

I hate the shorter days... I miss the days of it being light out until almost 9pm.. I HATE WINTER...... I hate everything about it... I Love spring because that means summer is just around the corner.

Watching things die outside, raking leaves, and knowing that Winter is right around the corner.

As a kid, it used to be my favorite season.... but now I'm older, I really don't care for it.

But I hate the barrage of box-elder bugs,

I had those at my old house and they were enough to make me want to tear my hair out.. They were all over the outside of the house - and if you stepped outside, they were all over you.. Finally figured out how to kill them - since traditional pesticides and such don't work.. Spray the outside of your house with a mixture of Palmolive dish liquid and water (there's a thingee you can buy that attaches to your garden hose to put this mixture into).. Do it faithfully for a few days and they'll be gone - as in "dead" - not just washed away to return the next day.. Also, if you have boxelder trees in your yard, make sure you cut them all down and spray the nests (a clump of tiny red dots).. Boy - I sure don't miss them!!

It's not long enough!!!

What Do You Hate About Autumn?

That it leads to Winter. I would love if we could just skip over Winter and go straight to Spring! Winter is the only season I don't like.

Here in Arizona, I'd have to say that there is nothing I hate about fall. I love it because it is the beginning of a long stretch of some of the most beautiful weather you'll find anywhere.

In Maine, it was the complete opposite. I just knew what was coming! Fall was too short and winter was too long.

Now it's the summers we fear!

Substitute 6 for 7 and Maine for Manitoba and I'm right with you LOL

I HATE THAT BOX ELDER BUGS FORCED ME TO CUT DOWN MY BEAUTIFUL SHADE TREE IN THE CENTER OF OUR YARD..... WHY OH WHY???? I LOVED THAT TREE.

But, I do love fall. My favorite season. I almost have more fall decorations than Christmas (well not quite, but it's a LOT). I love the cooler temps, the falling leaves, football games and bonfires, kids back to school, wearing shorts with hoodies or t-shirts with jeans and being comfie, everything.
The only thing I really hate is that winter is just around the corner. Now that is a season to HATE! The only reason for winter to exist is for snow on Christmas day. Other than that, take me away.... DH and I will probably be the next gen. snowbirds. Hate the short days and bitter cold and brown grass and the near constant dark. Just depresses me.

I wish it got cooler and stayed cooler. We tend to go from hot to cold, we don't really get a cool breezy autumn for more than a few weeks or a month. Today it was 95F.

I don't like Autumn. I find it very depressing. The worst part is the days growing shorter.

Plus, the next thing you know it is cold, dark WINTER.

When I lived in St. Louis, I hated the allergies. Apart from that, nothing. I love fall. It's probably my favorite time of year. Loved to see the colors, loved the tiny bit of a chill in the air, loved knowing the holidays were right around the corner.

Now that I'm in FL, I hate that it doesn't feel a thing like fall. I've got the hookup on the colors, though--for some reason, this little tree that's right across the street from my house is changing colors and has been for a couple of weeks. Not all of them are, but the little one that I look at all day out my front window is.

Oh, and I'm so not a fan of the lovebugs. Blech!
