I have a new job (here 3 months) but I have free plane tickets that need to be used by July and points that need to be used and I need a WDW fix - my problem is that I would have to take time off at no pay and I am currently behind on a couple of bills but really, really want to go!! My husband can take the week off with pay so he's okay but losing a week's pay will be tough for me - should I just go?? I have to make a decision by May 9 or the reservation for my plane tickets (FREE plane tickets :) ) will cancel - my reservation is for first week of June.

That's a tough one. My husband could possibly be laid off in the next few months but we have a trip planned for September. If he gets laid off it will most likely be canceled. I would hate to see you lose your free plane tickets....but when you say you're behind do you mean you are already paying late? Or do you mean that it's like a credit card that you didn't pay off entirely but you at least paid the minimum on. In my opinion - remember it's not worth a whole lot - I would never go if my bills would be delinquent and it would effect my credit score in the long term. That's a much harder thing to overcome in the end. AND I am very sympathetic to your dilemma I want to go so desperately and it's tempting to just say Screw it and go - but if my husband is out of a job it is just not financially feasible - FOR US. I'm not saying that that is the right answer. ULTIMATELY - this is a decision only you can make.....just remember all choices have consequences. And if you decide to go - Have a GREAT time.

Nothing is worse than being in debt. Although tehy may be "free" plane tickets, how much will this trip really cost you? If you are really, really behind on bills I would pay them instead. I know it's not easy but sometimes that is what you have to do.

I used to work in a place where every new employee that started took a vacation within months of starting taht position (without pay, and it was just a coincidence) but it was like a joke, and ultimately they lost their jobs. It sounds like you need that job and the money so I would say do not go, It will cost you more than you know (late charges on your bills, loss of a weeks pay, hotel charges, food money, spending money...it adds up fast!) Only to come home to the bill collectors calling you and no money to pay them cause you spent it and then some on a trip). Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. WDW will always be around! Stay home, pay of your bills that are really, really behind and go to your new job.

Good things come to those who wait, it may be the thing you do not want to do, but that happens to all of us.
