What do you give your mailman or woman and trash collector

for Christmas? Do you put it in an envolope or a card? I was thinking I might give lottery tickets this year. Any other suggestions?

Same for us. We live in Staten Island.
I also give to the two girls that deliver seperate papers (Post and Advance).

I put the cash in one of my Christmas cards with our full name.

I wish this trend would have caught on while I was teaching. Of course I wouldn't have raked in anything near what the postal and sanitation workers do, but it still would have been a nice little bonus.

I used to give the mailman a gift and then one year he told me that they were not allowed to accept gifts. I haven't done it since.

And no offense to the garbage collector--but he is now a one man crew. He pushes a button and an arm comes out of the truck and picks up the cans.

I give the garbage collector the same thing I give him throughout the year, more trash. Usually I give it to him in the trashcan, but sometimes I just put the bag by the road. The mail person gets my outgoing mail. That I usually put in my mail box. Sometimes I hand it to them personally. But not during these next few weeks. I don't wanna face them knowing I'm a cheap ******* who isn't gonna do anything for them durning the holidays.
