What do you get for paying Kenny?

So I'm a big fan of the Kenny the Pirate website. I was looking at something on the site and there was a link to sign up for updates. I think the price was $6.99. I don't mind paying it, but just curious for those of you who subscribe, what do you get for what you pay for? Vs. the info that's free on the site already.

Thanks!

For starters, you support him in continuing to provide the detailed character info he has supplied for so long. I subscribed earlier this year. One of the things I really liked was the detailed character appearance schedules.

I agree with mom2rtk (as usual) - when I signed up in May I didn't know it was a per year charge - I thought it was a one time charge (I don't remember it saying that but have seen that note since then).

In any case - we signed up to get the detailed Star Wars Weekend info but have used the Character Locator extensively during both our May and September trips. When in MK in September neither Aurora nor Snow White was listed on the Times Guide - I whipped out my handy Character Locator and viola found both Aurora's and Snow White's meeting times and locations - walked over and met Aurora immediately (literally no wait). I used his menus in the dining area of the site and his show times listings as well as the character meet info. It is just so handy to have!! DH and DD were both really impressed by it too! Is it a 'must have' no but I think it is something that I really liked having at my fingertips and I highly recommend it!!

As someone who loves characters I also do it to support him more of anything but his times and schedules are awesome

I also do it mainly to support him. He provides a lot of detailed information in one convenient place and it's a huge timesaver for me so I think it's worth the yearly cost. His information is certainly saving me more time than what I'm paying him!

I'm not sure what you get for the paid version vs. the free version. I **think** what you get is full character schedules, including breaks, rather than a general overview of what the schedule is for the day. So instead of only knowing that Jasmine & Aladdin generally meet from 9:30-6:00, you'll also see when their breaks are. Since your best bet for short lines is after a break, it's nice knowing when those breaks are so you can plan to be in the area and get in line during a break to shorten your wait.

Thanks for all the input! I was planning to pay just to support him as his website has been such a valuable tool and I love his maps. Just curious what the benefits were for paid members.

Not to hijack the thread...but do they automatically take payment from you each year? Or do you have to manually do it again?

It's not an automatic renewal. It will automatically cancel after a year unless you manually renew.

So worth it! It is a such a invalueable tool for us as we love the schedules and detailed info he gives!

I love it because it's so easy to use to see the character schedules at whatever park I'm in that day. I have an IPhone and added his icon to my home screen to make it even easier to access

I pay just to support a great Disney fan that has provided invaluable details/info in planning all my vacations. Especially, MNSSHP, MVMCP, Character locations & times. And crowd calendars.
