Hey everyone, we're on the deluxe dining plan in September and I'm wondering what you get for a credit at B&C. From the menu, it doesn't look like there are appetizers. Do you get one of the amazing sundaes instead?

Personally I think using a TS credit at Beaches & Cream is a waste. I went during free dining back in the days where the appetizer was included. I asked for Onion Rings as my appetizer. The Onion Rings were served with my burger in place of the french fries so I really did not receive a separate appetizer. Under the current plan you get Your entree, drink (not the fancy ice cream ones) and any dessert but the Kitchen Sink. You can get an equivalent meal for a CS credit at any resort food court although the burgers at B & C are much better and the Ice Cream Sundaes are fancier. I would rather use my TS credits on a nicer meal.
Just realized you are on the deluxe dining plan so the credits wouldn't really be an issue for you. But you really should be able to request the onion rings or a side of fries as an appetizer.
Thanks for the advice. Most days, we use one credit for lunch and two for dinner, so I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth using one of the left over credits at B&C. I really just want that 'No Way Jose' sundae, and need an excuse to have it!

If you just want the sundae, then go into Beach and just buy it. We have a traditional Kitchen Sink on virtually every trip to Disney (just don't try to eat lunch first).
they have chili and chicken noodle soup and caeser salad too in the appy category in addition to the onion rings (which are mighty tasty!)
entree is burger, chicken sandwich, steakum type sandwich and i think a hot dog option. Each is served with fruit or fries.
The No-way jose is a fabulous choice for dessert.
I think this is a fine use of a credit , the double burger is 10.99, the drink is 2.50ish, dessert is 7.99 and with deluxe the appy is in the 5ish range. 25-27 for 1 credit, while not the best ever, is doable

Bear in mind that the "cost" of a DxDP meal credit is $24 (or $22 if you count snacks) -- even a "low end" choice like B&C or The Plaza keeps you "break even" or better for that credit (and even if you were a little under for that meal, it's the averages that really count...)
