What do you eat for breakfast?

Used to have, religiously, a big bowl of real (not instant) grits (used to be oatmeal till Snuggles here on the DIS won me over to grits 2 years ago), two pieces of whole wheat type toast (multi-grain, stone gound wheat or other 'hearty' type), big glass of OJ, not from concentrate, extra pulp, and about two mugs (big) of fresh ground Starbucks.

For the past 4 1/2 weeks, 4 eggs, 6 bacon slices, 2 mugs of same coffee.

I usually have oatmeal (I like the Quaker Cinnamon Raisin flavor), but I decided I needed to eat more protein at breakfast. Now I have a bacon, egg, and cheese Lean Pocket. I'm finding that the protein does help keep me more full until lunch.

I usually skip breakfast (I know, bad me) because during the school year I am rushing out my door at 6:30, and sleep is more important at that hour than food, to me. ;) But when I do eat breakfast...at home I will have a bowl of cereal, or toast. Sometimes on the way to school I stop at Starbucks, and then I get a coffee drink of some kind. I wish the smoothie place opened before 7:00AM...I am already 15 minutes into class at that point. Then when I walk to my next class I see all the *normal* kids coming into school with smoothies...makes me envious. :(

I have the same thing almost daily, a big glass of milk with Carnation Instant Breakfast (milk chocolate flavor). If we are on vacation, then I eat a big hearty breakfast.

I don't know if it has something to do with age (I'm 38), but I have to eat breakfast or I feel sick.

no one in my family seems to be breakfast eaters. I have a glass of water and take my centrum vitamin. I know so good...

During the school year I usually have a bowl of honey nut cherios while I am checking out the new threads. My DD has instant oatmeal with her meds and applesauce everyday of her life. Sometimes on Saturdays I will make pancakes with Mickey ears of course.

Dan you are a true Southerner... you know what they are and eat grits.:D

Whatever I give to my kids, I make for myself....so either cereal (Rice Krispies, Cheerios, Rice Chex or Smart Start), or Quaker Oatmeal (any flavor), or 2 slices of toast with I Can't Believe it's Not Butter, or 2 Apple Cinnamon flavored rice cakes with a non fat yogurt. Always a cup of (weak) coffee to wash any of that down with, & my blood pressure pills!

I don't usually eat breakfast but today I was starving so I had a cheeseburger, hadn't had anything since lunch yesterday and it really hit the spot!!

It all depends. I sometimes have a slimfast chocolate bar for breakfast, they are yummy expecially if you love chocolate like me. And, since Im doing Weight Watchers, they are only 4 points,I like to have some green tea with it too. My other low cal/fat breakfast is, 2 Go Lean Waffles(Lots of fiber)and one sausage patty from Morning star, guess they are soy ones? They are pretty tasty for something thats not really meat.

I have been eating 2 fat free blueberry muffins and a fat free yogurt. I have that when I am leaving the house and I top that off with a plum and a 20 oz water. For Weight Watchers this is a 6.5 breakfast.

Since I have been eating something I have felt better and I have more energy.

I was not eating breakfast and then by 10 I was starving and I was eating M&M.

I feel good about my choices... and I dont even think of food until noon.

Hubby and started WW one week ago Saturday.

I usually have an egg bagel with lowfat Philly cream cheese with fresh Folgers (red) coffee with Land-O-Lakes fat free creamer. Or a granola bar of some sort if I don't have time to make the bagel. I tried Quaker Oatmeal Brown Sugar Cinnamon Breakfast Squares this week (they are new) and they are pretty good. I, like many of the previous posters, have to eat breakfast or I feel kinda sick. On Sundays, I usually make the family "big breakfast" which includes over-medium eggs, bacon, hash browns and wheat toast. Yum....it is a treat:D
