Hey hey,
Great to year from y'all...this thread is growin!
Way cool, Meg...we're replacing the minivan with a new Liberty next year. My mom leased the van because she didn't know if she would like it (we hate it most of the time...it's too big, and the power steering sucks). I love the Liberty...we're good friends with the owner of the local Chrysler dealership, and he let me test drive a new Liberty as soon as they got them in!
My dad's way too attached to his red '94 Cherokee...he keeps the thing in perfect condition, although he has beaten the crap out of it taking it on and off road. We got it upgraded in '97, with an engine tune-up and some interior stuff, and it has about 90k miles on it...i think we're going to keep it for 120,000 or something. Dad's gonna get the Liberty after his Jeep dies, and my mom wants an Audi. I'm gonna keep my cruiser as long as I can...even if I'm like old and have a family it'll be like, "this was my first car, from way back in 2001".
Right now my girlfriend's kinda car shopping...she drives a Ford truck right now (Ford...as in Fix Or Repair Daily...

...) but she wants to buy a pre-owned something...her uncle has a transmission shop in Princeton and he always has something cool for sale for a ridicdulously low price...last year I remember he had an '88 vette for something like $5,000...amazing. Talli's parents were kind of spastic about her getting her own car, because of all the insurance headaches. Apparently all people our age are accidents waiting to happen according to insuance companies. Oy, vey.
