... with your old computer etc when you replace them?
I have just bought a new printer and scanner to replace our old one( has been a VERY reliable HP Deskjet), and DH says I can't chuck it out ..... he asked the boys if the school would want it and after they'd finished ROFLOL, they explained that they have laser colour all-singing all-dancing type printers.

Seriously if this was worth it I'd take it to a local primary school but frankly it is on it's last legs - so is there anywhere apart from the dump you can take old printers and computer equipment??

I know we save all our toner catridges and inkjet cartridges at work for recycling.

We always give the old computer equipment to DS to have in his room. Can your boys use it?

I know what you mean Shirley - I just gave my old scanner (that never worked with Millennium Edition anyway so it's never been used) which I could have got a whole £5 for on Ebay LOL.

I'm still trying to get rid of an old video recorder.

I think I need to go to car boot sale and anything I can't sell can go to one of the Charity shops

Thank you Tim - that's great I'll try to sort something out.

No my sons can't use it - they need the new one to print off their coursework etc properly! They've been as anxious as me to get the new printer/scanner!

(It's just my DH cannot bear to throw something out whilst it still clings to life - he is such a hoarder!)

I was a voluntary helper in my local charity shop for a few years,unfortunatley they can't sell electrical goods.

All that happens is that each shop has an enterprising person who gives them a few quid to 'take the electrical goods off their hands' and then obviously sells them at car book sales etc.OR they get thrown away
